1000 Stone Farm is a family-owned, 4-season certified organic homestead dedicated to regenerative agricultural practices. They prioritize sustainability, producing vegetables, mushrooms, eggs, meat, and fruit while supporting local food systems. The farm emphasizes reducing food miles through CSA programs and partnerships with other Vermont farms.

Offerings

The farm provides year-round food through multiple channels:

• CSA Programs: Seasonal shares (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) with weekly email updates, recipes, and access to local products. Winter shares include greens, roots, and winter squash. Members can order from the farm store, which is packed into their share.
• Farm Store: Located on-farm at 1102 Stone Road, Brookfield, VT 05036, the store operates daily from 8 am–8 pm. It carries over 100 Vermont-made or -grown items, including vegetables, cheeses, meats, baked goods, and seasonal specialties like kimchi and sauerkraut. Cash and card accepted.
• On-Farm Restaurant: 'The Farmers’ Hand' serves local dishes to restaurants and co-ops.

Visiting

The farm store is open year-round, with a Little Red Shed as a recognizable landmark. CSA pickup locations include Brookfield, Montpelier, Randolph, Northfield, and Burlington, with weekly schedules (except winter, which has monthly pickups). The farm is near Sunset Lake’s floating bridge in Brookfield.

How to Buy

Join the CSA via the farm’s website, with options for flexible payment plans through Klrana or Affirm. Year-round members receive 5% off if signed up before March 1.
