Founded by Amy and Brittany after a 2017 visit to a Canadian farm, 21 Roots Farm was inspired by the transformative power of agriculture for people with disabilities. The name reflects the connection to Down syndrome (chromosome 21) and the deep roots of community, purpose, and growth that define the farm's mission.
The farm is part of the Care Farming Network and collaborates with local organizations to promote health, well-being, and belonging. Board members and volunteers contribute expertise, time, and resources to sustain the mission, ensuring the farm remains a welcoming space for all.
