Who We Are

15 County Farms is owned by Ray & Mary Sitorius, who grew up on family farms near Brady, Nebraska. They were raised learning about row crops, hay, gardens, and livestock, values they continue to pass down to their family and community. Their mission is to connect people with the source of their food and share the story of sustainable farming.

What We Do

They raise garden produce seasonally using natural methods, starting their own plants with premium seeds and soil. Their Idaho Pasture Pigs are raised on open land, fed a mix of alfalfa, grasses, and non-soy grain, with access to shelter. Medications are used only when necessary, and extended withdrawal periods ensure safe, ethical meat production. They also offer specialty items like cheesecakes and casseroles.

Why We Do It

The Sitorius family believes in food transparency and quality. They advocate for meat and produce free of soy, hormones, and antibiotics, emphasizing that happy, naturally raised animals create healthier food. They teach younger generations about farming, harvesting, and processing to preserve knowledge for the future.

Future Plans

They are expanding to pasture-raised beef, managing a beef cow herd that grazes naturally and follows no-antibiotics, no-hormones, and no-soy practices. Cows receive baled grasses and alfalfa in colder months and are part of a mineral program to support animal health.

Visiting & Buying

Local customers can pick up products at the farm for a discount, while others may arrange delivery. The farm encourages visits to learn about farming practices and take home fresh, locally sourced food.
