Zillman's Meat Market

What a great local meat shop. The new owner opened his doors on July 4th and we got to get cheddar beef sticks and original beef jerky. Very tasty! And what a delightful unexpected experience! Highly recommend!

I love their Mettwurst sausage. It is best fried up in a pan and eaten with some nice horseradish mustard. Great stuff. Zillman's is the only place you can get it is Wausau.

What a hidden gem. My husband received a gift certificate for this meat market. For which we have never gone to before. It is right off of a main street with plenty of parking. Walking in it takes you back to the old time markets on how they looked. One main counter with a butcher behind him cutting up fresh meat. The walls are covered with history on family and community. That's where I spend alot of my time. Lol maybe it's because in this day and ang, we've lost the impact of a picture. Good customer service. Would recommend stopping in and giving your community support for fresh meat. These guys are awesome. Always ready to answer your questions.

Great customer service, super polite and very helpful. First time here and it was a great first impression. We had the smoked pork chops, some of the salami, and the landjaeger sticks. All of it is so far has been amazing. Smoked pork chops are my favorite and I have tried them from maybe 12 or more places around the state, and these definitely rank up there. Thank you! If I'm in the area again I'll stop back.

The new owner was outside, he wasn't open, but asked us if we wanted something and he let us buy what he had available! Such a nice guy and the beef sticks are delicious!

Every time we are in town, my husband stops by to get sausage sticks and wild cat.

Excellent service and very tasty meat! The marbling in the steaks was amazing! Very clean. Half the meat, is half the size and price. Can't wait to put more of that thick meat in my mouth!

Fantastic local, old school meat market. Everything we tried and took home was excellent, and the folks behind the counter were very knowledgeable and helpful. Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Wausau.

These guys processed my venison trim. They made me venison summer sausage with cheese and garlic, venison hot dogs, venison BBQ snack sticks, and venison bacon. I've had several other butchers process venison for me over the years, depending on where I was living. These guys are by far the best! Hands down, everything they made for us is delicious! Perfect amount of smoke! The hot dogs are moist, the snack sticks are not too dry or hard, easy to eat. Thanks Zillmans!

If you want REAL German sausage and other fantastic meat you have to try Zillman’s. I had a cousin who married a man from Germany and they now live there. We had brought him some years ago and he was very skeptical because his family made German sausage. When he tried them he LOVED them. When they lived in North Carolina they would order them and have them shipped. Best we’ve ever had and we’ve tried lots of them.😋
