I’m still giving Yoder 4 stars because the quality and taste of the meat are consistently excellent! I’ve never had a bad experience here until this week. The store wasn’t busy at all (I’ve been in during much busier times and was still helped kindly), but this time I was met with a noticeably rude attitude from one of the employees. The woman in pink, unfortunately was not only unfriendly but rude. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask questions about the meat I’m buying, especially when I’m spending over $100 in one visit. Honestly, whether I’m spending $10 or $100, all customers deserve to be treated with respect. Basic customer service: like asking “Do you have any questions?” or “What else can I get you?" goes a long way. Instead, I got eye rolls, blank stares, and clear irritation. I wasn’t being difficult, just asking a few simple questions. As I always have when I've come in and had no problems. I understand that bad days happen and some customers can be rude but that wasn’t the case here. I hope this is addressed, because great products deserve great service to match.

If I could give more stars I would! Ianian took great care of me and helped me find other great cuts of meat when I couldn’t find what I originally wanted. Thanks Yoder Meats for having great service and great quality!

I visit this store frequently, sometimes every other day, and even multiple times weekly to grab a meal. One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility of choosing exactly how much to buy, without being forced into bulk purchases. However, it becomes incredibly frustrating when an entire stock is wiped out because one person decided to buy everything, leaving nothing for other customers. This issue is especially concerning when restocking won't happen for another week or more. While I understand the first-come, first-served rule, there should be a reasonable limit on bulk purchases to ensure fairness. After all, if a store consistently fails to maintain supply, it raises questions about its ability to effectively serve its customers

Clean atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, large variety of foods, delicious meats. Kassidy is the best! She knows her stuff and very friendly.

I take my sister here and she loves it. They really treat her good and have a wide selection of meets and other food product. The staff is excellent, kind and courteous.

🦋 My brother and I went to Yoder Meats on Central, we were Greeted as soon as we stepped in the door, my brother bought a Beef Bundle it's the Best, I thought they just sold Meat, I was So Surprised, they have so much more, you have to go and see for yourself, they have Popcorn different kinds, Colors and flavors popped and unpopped, they have Candy, Cookies, Pies, different kinds of Mustards, Bar-B-Que sauces, Honey, Cinnamon Rolls, Lotion yes Lotion, I bought Lilac it smells So Good, it feels so good and nourishing to the skin, there's a lot of different kinds of lotion. Everything I named is not even half of it. You have to go in see for yourself. There's something for everyone.... I Love it! The first time I went with my brother, the second time I went with my friend and I will be back, again and again, Thank You! A very Satisfied Customer...Connie 🦋

High quality beef, pork and chicken. You can get the cut and type of meat easily and conveniently.

Really tried to love this place. Their products are really good. I'm always very happy with their meat. The problem is everytime I go in there's issues. The ladies are stressed. Not being able to place orders online makes their jobs harder. Last time I tried to buy steak for French dips, the guy wouldn't listen to me, wouldn't take my order to pick up later, and said I couldn't have the $1 off beef because it was frozen. I'm not spending $20 more a pk. Making it $40 more to feed my family one meal because he didn't want to make me another cheaper pk. I like drama free shopping. This place is the opposite of that, sadly.

YB will always be my go-to for quality meat, poultry, and more! I grew up eating quality, farm-fresh, proteins and I worked in professional restaurants for over 20 years. I can not stomach the beef, pork, poultry, lamb, etc. from Dillon's or any other grocery store - the way the meat smells, feels, tastes, and cooks is just not pleasing to me. The meats at YB are fresh and affordable. I like to compare the YB prices with Dillon's prices, just for fun, and YB is often less-expensive! Higher quality, lower price. They offer fresh and frozen proteins, along with a selection of cheeses, cured meats, homestyle canned goods, and more. Definitely give YB a visit, soon.

Staff not knowledgeable or helpful, items melting in the sunlight coming through the front windows, items with icing packed upside down in our bags. NOTE: This is only the one on Central; the other locations are excellent.

All the proteins are very high quality. Prices are good and people are even better! Highly recommend over your typical grocery store butchers. Also have a huge selection of pickled veggies and jellies/jams etc.

I would have given this store a five star rating, because their product is great, but their customer service seems to be failing. I realize that business can be stressful during the holidays. However I am less inclined to visit the store if the woman answering the phone cannot spare 2 seconds of her time or manage a basic polite demeanor.

Even though it was cash only the day I went (gotta love it when technology doesn't work), I was super pleased with the meat I bought. I found 2 KC strips in the half price cooler and a huge center cut pork chop. I had the pork chop cut in half and it was already butterflied. Ended up with2 steaks and 4 pork chops for $15! The staff was very apologetic about the computer system being down and they were nice, fun and helpful. Will definitely be back!

I am from Texas, I know a thing or two about quality cuts of beef. This place is staffed by knowledgeable employees, and carries very nice quality steaks. The bone in rib eyes had very nice marbling and the caps look beautiful. I ended up going with some usda choice kc strip steaks which also had beautiful intramuscular fat. I will tell you, if they do not taste great and nearly fall apart, it's my fault, not the beef's. I will definitely return to this establishment when I am near Wichita and am looking for quality meat. Perhaps the pork belly next time.

I’m so frustrated. Upon moving into town I started searching for a new meat shop. We were recommended to Yoder. My first trip there I was wanting to get some chicken Parmesan as listed on the website. The nice guy told me that the website isn’t current and they don’t have it in stock. I ended up with something different. The quality of the meat was good, so I called to ask if I could reserve a tri tip for pickup on Saturday 12/22 (we do Christmas Eve for our celebration). I was assured multiple times a walk in on Saturday would be fine. I asked if they were sure and was told I wouldn’t have a problem. Of course I sent BF to get the tri tip today and they didn’t have any. Not a good way to get a returning customer who prefers to buy meat at a butcher. We will take our business somewhere else that will take an order or be more prepared.

This is specifically concerning the Yoder on Central in Wichita. Every year we are gifted a bundle by a family member. Two years in a row they didn't have my preordered bundle prepared. Additionally, they took a credit card number over the phone last year from the person purchasing the bundle but then tried to charge me up on pickup. This year they told me it hadn't been paid for but found the card number given for the order scribbled on a piece of paper along with other card numbers in plain site near the register. This doesn't seem like good practice.

When I want a good steak I go to Yoder meats. Tender and juicy. The reason for only four stars is they never have lamb chops! Otherwise they are a great butcher shop.

I got this chuck roast there the other day. Today I had the best pot roast I've ever had. Best quality meat around. If you go and they have chorizo in stock, buy a lot!!

Great meats and extras, great customer service

This is a nice little local business. They had a veriety of meats .lamb buffalo and goat to name a few. They didn't have any premade Christmas style veriety boxes in the store. They said those had to be per ordered. Otherwise it was a nice place to get something different.
