Wykota Wild Game Processing is a business that specializes in custom processing of wild game, including elk, deer, antelope, bison, moose, and wild sheep. They offer a range of services from skinning to vacuum sealing and also produce various meat products such as jerky and sausages. The primary purpose of the business is to provide quality meat processing services for hunters.
Couple of things here. I dropped off my whitetail deer on Nov. 22, 2024 and when I received it back, the summer sausage I ordered didn’t even come from my deer as it was packaged in October and already had ice crystals built up in it. Then we took our elk in and got it back. We got breakfast sausage made with some of the meat and it is so spicy it’s inedible for our family. Not impressed at all, next year I will sacrifice my time and take it 3-4 hours to my parents and process it ourselves. Very disappointed.
Very accommodating and fast for a price. We gave them a day we were passing through and they made sure to have it ready. Thank you for processing our meat!
Well marked entrance. Dropped off 3 antelope during our week and got them back, frozen, in time for our flight despite them being busy and them saying they were understaffed. Would use every time I'm in the area.
I took quarters, full Backstraps and loins to Wykota. From a mature 6pt bull. There was no bullet damage. There was some hair and dirt on some of the meat. Very workable. Condition similar to other hunters that also got elk in camp. I got back 115lbs of meat including only about 7lbs of blackstrap. The other hunters got about 700lbs total from their three elk. Wykota has lots of explanations but I can’t figure how I lost 30-40pct of my meat. I dropped the meat off myself. If carefully trimmed, I might lose 10-20pct. Maybe. Very disappointing. Picked them because they vacuum seal and wish I went to Lander instead.
Great place to have your wild game large animals processed! Processing is done one animal at a time to ensure you get only your meat back. JJ & Lisa are great people!
I took my elk to this place with four days time to process they processed it, but when I went to pick it up, it was on a Wednesday and they are closed on Wednesday, but they live right there and they charge me an extra hundred dollars to give me my meat because it was on a Wednesday the lady was very unfriendly very short snappy we would never go back to this place again !
