I heard about this place through a friend when we first moved to Springfield and was told they have a Facebook page so I started following them and they have really good deals so this has now been my go-to for all meat for the last 2 years. The associates are always friendly the stores always clean. I bring toddlers and sometimes it takes a second to get all my stuff and they even have cute little markers for the kids to write on the freezers with to help keep them occupied. August 07, 2024 Today was my first time stopping into Worden's and the blonde woman (whose name I so rudely didn't get) was extremely kind in assisting me. When I first walked in, she was on the phone but non-verbally acknowledged me. When her call ended, she asked if she could help. I told her I'd never been in before and was looking for chicken. She told me where the frozen chicken was as well as fresh plus the cost per pound of both. She also told me about other products in the store and walked me through the various specials. Through course of conversation I explained that I've been vegetarian for almost six years but on my honeymoon last month visited an international location where it was difficult to eat strictly vegetation. My husband and I have since had extensive conversation about my returning to meat consumption under certain guidelines. The woman working was non-judgmental in listening to me and let me explain that one of the biggest factors in going vegetarian was the conditions of factory farming and that as an animal rights advocate, it didn't align for me to eat mass produced meats, so I made the personal choice to change my diet. In re-exploring meat consumption, it's important to me to source both locally and ethically. She was transparent to tell me their meats are sourced in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas (or at least that's how I'm recalling it - apologies if I've mis-remembered). She also explained that the cows are grass-fed until the last 180 days when they bulk up with grain and that the chickens are free-range. I did not grill her about the farm conditions nor did I question the raising and butchering of other types of animals (e.g., pigs), but I would be interested to learn more. She was very kind in our conversation and invited to me to call or return if I have any more questions. The only thing I purchased today was fresh chicken breast. With tax, the 2.78 lbs cost $8.69.

My first time buying meat here. I purchased the 80/20 ground beef, I wasn't disappointed.

They have the best meat and the best people working for them. I was restocking after a powernoutage that ruined all our food and the lady working helped me carry out the large order. Just kind folks!

We really like their meat. It's a local cattle farm with all natural fed and natural grown meat with no junk in their meat like fillers or antibiotics.

Great butcher shop with awesome customer service! Locally sourced and no antibiotics. Great prices and extremely good tasting! Pan seared a sirloin with nothing but salt and pepper to test it and I was very impressed with the steak overall. It's was juicy, beautifully seared and cooked to a lovely medium rare and melted in the mouth like warm butter on a hot day. It was a wonderful steak.

Worden's has reasonably priced meat. We like that the hamburger is prepackaged and frozen, so it can be directly into our freezer. Everything we've purchased there has been good.

They are family owned and they make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The meat has such an amazing taste compared to store bought. Also, they have the best prices for the best tasting meats. Chicken, Beef and Pork!

I like to support local places, and Worden's is an excellent place to shop locally for great meat deals. The employee was so kind and helpful. She helped us figure out the best bundle for our family. They are accommodating and efficient. We look forward to stocking up monthly.

Prices are awesome good people.. .... but here lately we've been having finding the packages are cracked on the chicken and pork chops and the labeling 🏷 is wrong on the chicken.. we are done .. …

When ground beef and ground chicken are on sale, their prices are the best!

They have amazing deals on their meat and I'd pick this over most any other stores.
