This place is my dream come true. What an amazing property with the most gracious hosts. I arrived here after booking one of their tiny houses the night before I was scheduled to arrive that was located on the back of their property. Upon first sight, the tiny house was too adorable! However, I was skeptical when I walked inside because it was so hot, even though their was an oscillating fan on in the corner. Since it’s been one of the most humid weeks of the summer, I immediately turned on the A/C window unit while I started to unload and set up my stuff. While I was playing frisbee with my dog and checking out the grounds, I started getting bitten by multiple flies or mosquitoes. I quickly messaged the host Chad to borrow some OFF with DEET and a lighter for my mosquito candle that I brought to prepare for being in the woods. After that, I had no further issues with any bugs! Since you are in a heavily wooded area, beware of ticks as well and come prepared. Chad the host is a hoot. When he met me, he had also been chatting with another young woman who was renting the other tiny house next to mine. We all got to know each other for short while and next thing I knew he was offering to give us a tour of his property. Chad and his partner John house a rare herd of San Clemente goats. They had a special done in them by PBS! Their dream is to one day sell the goat cheese to their local community. They have 6 peacocks on the property as they offer as a form of protection, a huge garden, herbs and plants galore, a peach orchard, an art studio, a storage shed, an outdoor space to host friends, and a beehive, to say the least. This place is pure magic! Chad and John were the most gracious hosts ever. They welcomed us like family which is much appreciated when you are single women traveling alone. Their life stories, goals, and dreams were so interesting. I could have stayed and listened to them all night. This was such a fun place to be. When my dog and I got back to our tiny home after hanging out, it was perfectly cool. I quickly showered with warm water and jumped into bed. The mattress in the loft of the tiny house was surprisingly really comfortable and the sheets so soft. It was a lovely little cocoon. I slept like a rock. It was so cool and so dark in there. I woke up naturally, without an alarm and felt so refreshed. This was such a fun experience. I wish I had more time to spend to wander around the property and get to know the hosts better, but I am so glad I found them!
Wonderful, unique small business. Definitely check them out! They have adorable tiny houses that you can stay in, and have a herd of San Clemente Island goats!
