Absolutely do NOT recommend! We bought a cow and 2 pig from a friend and they had it butchered there. It was one of the first times our friend used whalens meat packing. Our friend had an impossible time getting ahold of them to schedule a drop off. We filled out the order form but we are new to getting custom cuts so we did our best while filling it out. What we got back was ridiculous! Our steaks where pathetic! If the sections of meat weren't big enough to make respectful steaks then they could have contacted us to double check and see if we would like to do something different. The pig was even worse. Our "pork loin chops" were 2 inches wide! They were laughable cut. Again they could have contacted us for alternatives. We sent in 2 pigs and maybe got a half pig back. We never got our hams back cause they weren't ready when our friend picked up the rest of the meat. They called whalens multi time to see if they hams were ready and after 8 months they finally got the called. After going to to pick up the remainder of the meat the workers there at the time admitted to snack on the meat! That we paid for!!
Whalens will cut meat anyway you like! It’s always delicious!
Been doing business with these great people for years. You will find no better service and their meat packing is above all!
