This place was listed on Harvest Host as being able to host large rigs. According to their site, our 39 ft RV was under what they could accommodate. Turned out to be a narrow 2 track, which once we were on it, we had no choice but to plow forward and hope the site was large enough. It was not. There was nowhere to turn around. Had my husband not driven semi for 20 years, we would not have made it out of there on our own. He had to back up truck and trailer (70 ft long together) about 200 yards, around a curve, and up a slight hill and then drive partially into the wild part of the area to get turned around. Horrible experience. Nobody came out to greet us or help us. It looked abandoned, like a back country horror movie experience. If you're looking to park an RV there, do NOT unless you're under 20 ft.
I recently went on a tree walk at this amazing farm, and it was a fantastic experience! I learned so many fun facts about various plant species that I had never heard before. The owners were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. Their passion for plants is truly contagious! The interactions with the owners were a highlight—they were friendly, approachable, and eager to share their expertise. The tour left me so inspired that I, a mere peasant, am now considering starting my own farm! If you're interested in plants or just looking for a unique and enriching experience, I highly recommend visiting this farm. You won't be disappointed!
Beautiful farm with amazing classes, gatherings, and offerings for children and adults alike!
Awesome place to get fruit tree and shrub seedlings. I've bought numerous that are now thriving in my front yard. They also have a great selection of herbs. Owners are full of great advice. They don't just hand you a seedling and send you on your way, they actually care about helping you make the most of your yard (or garden) space!
This farm is nestled in a gorgeous location of the scenic Westfield River valley and is prime resource for anyone seeking useful hardy perennial plants and wholesome nature education. The proprietors also offer campsites and a quaint cabin rental. Highly reccomended!
Great selection of native and edible plants. Owners are super knowledgeable and very friendly! They host lots of fun family friendly events relating to primitive/ancestral skills and bush crafting too.
Beautiful farm. Friendly & kind owners highly knowledgeable in trees, edible plants and seeds, wild animals. Growing livestock population. Great teachers. If you want to learn about nature, he's your man.
Beautiful place with amazing range of events and programs offered. This is where our household goes to learn new earth and homesteading skills, and where we get to help in the raising of pigs whose food sustains us through the winter.
Turtle Bend is one shell of a farm! The owners are full of wisdoms and down-to-earth (like turtles)! Bring your kids to see the animals! I haven’t seen an actual turtle yet but I’ll keep pokin’ my head around!
