Triangle Meat Market is a butcher shop that specializes in selling various meat products, including steaks and other cuts of beef. The business has a long-standing reputation among customers for offering quality meats, although recent reviews indicate concerns about inventory and service quality. The primary purpose of the business is to provide fresh meat products to consumers.
They weren't answering their phones at 4:15, so I just drove to the store. Arrived at 4:55 only to be met with a CLOSED sign. Their outgoing message still says they are open until 6. They started closing at 5 a long time ago. No steak for me and 30 miles out of my way. I have never had a bad experience like this before. I've been coming here for years.
I’ve been coming here my whole life, since as early as I can remember and I’m 30 now. Absolutely love this place and the people as well. They are friendly and helpful, as well as serving the absolute Best steaks you can buy. I drive over an hour to get here from Mississippi and I will continue to do so.
I’ve been coming to Charlie’s for years. Typically pretty good. Unfortunately that seems to have changed. 3 times this year I have gone before 11am on a Friday and there was not a single steak for sale.
EVERY SINGLE DAY!! I love coming to this place because it means good things see about to happen. I typically pick up Boston butts and baby back ribs here, but they’ve got a great selection of fillets, and ribeyes as well.
I stopped by in afternoon, got some beef. They have many different steak meats with seasoning and stuff. I wish to go back. I was looking for some fresh chicken Lee quarters, or whole chicken but they didn’t have that. Maybe I will go back again to find.
Very sad to see things change so much here. There inventory/selection remains low and hard to get the cuts you are looking for. Ground Beef Quality is not what it used to be either, have had several batches with skin or other pieces that had to be picked out and discarded. Upcharge for using a credit card. Looking for a new spot unfortunately.
Spent close to $100 on 3 strips and 3 ribeyes to take to daughter’s for dinner. One strip (medium rare and grilled by a seasoned grillmaster) was so tough, it couldn’t be eaten. The other steaks had flavor, however, hard to chew. I was so disappointed! Also, the cases in the store with other options to stock up on…the choices were few! What happened?
I am so disappointed. I am having guests for the weekend and planned to cook filets. I drove 30 minutes to Triangle and they did not have a single filet. There was nothing even frozen. What is happening? Are they going out of business?
Are they closing. Went there today 7/21/25 freezers empty, place was hot, nobody in the butcher area, one guy there, asked was there anything to buy and he showed me the showcase which was 85percent empty. Was told the freezer’s couldn’t keep up with the heat. Looked like the same ones Charlie put in . Sad
The past 3 times my husband has been there the cases were empty. Has changed since it’s no longer Charlie’s. I would actually give it no stars.
Was excited to see what they had to offer. Went in right before noon on a Saturday to find 1/4 filled coolers and mediocre selections. Lighting was dim, floors weren’t clean and the overall feel just felt gross.
Meat is always fresh cut with excellent cost. Being fresh and good cuts the taste is up to the way you cook.
If you are looking for a classical butcher shop that has been run by generations of the same family, this is the place! What you get when you walk in is a warm invite and personalized service to fit …
They used to have a lot of choices of meat in the display counter. I went there today and was saddened that I didn't have a choice of items. Hardly anything.
If you're open to 5pm, stay open till 5pm. Here I am posting at 450pm and you're closed on a Thursday. Not understanding why? Thanks for nothing
Hello, I used to do business with Southern Meat years ago and I always enjoyed their meat. Charlies is awesome too. Now I am a old Memphis neighbor and man with no teeth. So I don't eat much meat but my friends and family do.They say if you don't eat your meat you don't get any puddin.....crying shame!
“The Triangle store presents significant concerns, and buyers should be cautious of the environment. The store does not offer safe purchasing conditions. Specifically: …
Would give 5 stars if you stay open longer most parents work til 5 closing at 5 makes it where we can not purchase good meat ... IV been a customer for 20 years it's upsetting
They USED to be a GREAT meat market, known around the city for good meat at good prices....since covid that is NOT the case. No meat packages anymore, they no longer carry gator tail, no longer friendly service, and the place is mostly …
Great selection prices are fair and the meats excellent the people are nice too every time I go through Memphis I try to stop and grab some filet mignon and take them back to East Tennessee
