TJ's Butcher Block

We have visited the North Woods over 20 times in the last 5 years and this place is our favorite stop for Great Steak and Seafood! We often go up for special occasions, the quality of their meats and smoked salmon is absolutely outstanding! We highly recommend this stop if you are anywhere North of Wausau.

Decent meat market. If you are looking for an old school market, this is not the place. Commercialized so it is all pre-packed snack meats. Frozen pre-packed food too. This would be a new school meat market and not an old school 'leave with your jerky in a plastic bag'. Small fresh food area in the back.

The selection here was incredible at fair prices! We spent a lot here to provide for family and everyone raved over the dips and cheeses. We recommend this spot for locals or even tourists coming in to get quality food.

A great specialty market. We bought 2 lobster tails and 2 beef filets. Both were really good. We stop there every time we go to Minoqua.

Stopped in to pick up some of their ground beef, Chicago-style hot dogs and a few other tasty items. Everyone always very pleasant in there and a nice selection to pick from!

We bought the 25.00 chicago Italian beef comes with the rolls and I cooked in slow cooker for 3 hours on low with some hot giardiniera and warmed rolls in microwave with microwave cover on it to steam it for 25 seconds and it was really good! I'm from Chicago and there's no Italian beef places I know of around here but this is the closest! The lady that works the counter in TJs told me to slow cook it and it was pretty darn good!

Great meats. Their hot dogs are the best. They are served at little league games in town which is where I found these people. Hot dogs are available at the store. Next time I am in town I will get a package of their hot dogs. Their other products are good as well.

Great specialty items and best butcher shop in the area. Order fresh cut meats, onsite made smoked items, best frozen pizza ever, and many items only found here in Minocqua area. Beer, liquor, wide variety of cheeses, and great gift items. We get the small tenderloins steaks often. Great deal.

Our favorite place for great steaks. Always delicious. We bought the Mother's day special this weekend. What an awesome deal. Steaks, shrimp, potatoes and a very nice bottle of wine. Thank you TJ's for my dinner.

It was awesome!! Got the choice filets. They were breath taking!! Scallops, jumbo shrimp excellent as well. These guys steaks are so good they sell them to the local steakhouses. If you are in town hit this place up!!

We stopped to pick up something for dinner just 10 minutes before closing. We hurried so we didn't keep them. Picked out 2 Ribeyes, a box of salad, a bottle of dressing, some dinner rolls. When we got back to the condo we noticed the rolls …

Awesome meats and bacon. Love the Garlic Summer Sausage for cheese and crackers. Alaska Amber ale beer is the best and this is one of the few places in the lower 48 where you can purchase. Stop by and browse too....many interesting things wines, beers, cheeses. Always stop here when we visit our cottage just west of Minocqua!

Out of town family who love leg of lamb. Always a challenge to find good lamb at reasonable price. Picked up 6 lb. Boneless leg from TJ's. OUTSTANDING. The very best we have ever had. No waste and fantastic flavor.

The BBQ Beef Jerky Sticks are AMAZING. They have a true sweet smokey flavor to them that I have never been able to recreate. If you are in town stop by and get a package or 10.... you will not be sorry in a few weeks when you are still enjoying your sticks.

Went in to buy fresh meat for my sister in law. Had to ring bell for the butcher to come out. Asked a few questions about the meat, he was rude and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Picked our meat, he packaged it and tossed it at us, said is that all in a rude manner. Will not be going back there.

Friendly and reliable source for an excellent selection of meats. We highly recommend their breakfast sausages too and they carry Pine River cheese spreads. Winner all around..

Don't know if I would call this a butcher shop, had a bunch of wine and all kinds of other stuff, and a couple of small counters of meat stuff. I bought some of their beef jerky, good thing I didn't buy a lot because it's unbelievably salty and it's tough as shoe leather.... Won't be back there's better places around.
