Tillman’s Meats & Country Store

This is the first time I ever went to the store. I went to another Tillman store and had a great experience with great food and great pricing so I went to a location that was closer to me. It was the worst experience I've had thus far. Being in Jacksonville. I've never been so disrespected. We're not well versed in names for meats, I'm not a butcher, but when you have a person aggressively asking you, what do you mean when you ask if you can cut them meat for a barbecue you mean in general you can actually perform some kind of cut to make it usable on the grill, regardless of what meet name the product is. Regardless, I don't appreciate the aggression and I don't ever plan on going to this Tillman's location again. I would recommend other Tillman locations as their food is good. The pricing is good and the experience was better, but I hope that they learn from this lesson and adjust their attitude.

Quaint country store, meat butcher. I love it coming from a smaller town and they have all the good stuff.. fresh meat chicken sausage, pork, pretty much anything except for tomahawk steak. But you can order it! Very nice lady that works there. Honest prices.

My boyfriend and I love this place. Such friendly owners. Smells good, well kept, amazing prices, impressive selection, 10x better to come here than buying terrible quality meat for double the price from walmart/fresh market/ publix down the street. Buy one of the freezer specials!!! Incredible deal on bulk buying meat and they even label it all for you in butcher paper. We can‘t wait to come back again and pick out something new to try, I saw they had ostrich and kangaroo! Awesome!

This place is the BEST! Much better quality meat cuts than the grocery stores. They have good prices and deals. Even got a free steak with my purchase! Very friendly and fast service with a smile! Recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

they are very good! they have these amazing twice baked mashed potato bowls that are so good and enough to share (but i’m a little selfish so i keep a full one just for myself 🤣) the meat is just as good and fresh. last night as a treat i tried their coconut bars and they were to die for!! hard to describe; kind of like a little mini cheesecake mixed with a buttery cookie maybe? very very good is the best description i can give. we also tried their amish baked beans..i don’t know what the difference is between southern bb’s and amish ones but they were also extremely good! i tried them cold straight out of the container and loved them, they were even better heated up.

Young man there made a customer feel like a pos for requesting a rib cap….i could have bought all pieces but he became condescending and asked me what he was supposed to do with the rest of the ribeye after taking the cap off……honestly it isn’t your business…..sell me the whole cow if you want but I made request and was instead belittled in front of other customers because he must be the best butcher in the history of the company, I’m never coming back…..I was looking to buy over $100 pounds and his solution is no we don’t cut whatever you wqntz

We've been going here for a whiiiile now, and it's amazing. They take EBT for those wondering, they have some fun flavors of stuffed chicken breast (Santa Fe is our fave), their jalapeno puffs & twice baked potatoes are also to die for. It's just high quality in general.

I've told Many people about Tillman's over the years because I've heard so many good things about this local small business. Today I finally went for myself and am so happy I did ☺️ Gavin was very courteous and helpful in selecting the right cuts of meat i was looking to purchase. The store was also very clean and organized. No funny meat smells like one might expect in a store that primarily sells meat. I look forward to my next visit and will be purchasing some of the many options of jams and jellies available as well as spices and sauces 😋

Great service and excellent quality meat choices. Davin & Chris recommended and prepared a 4-bone ribeye roast that was the star of our new year's eve celebration that everyone raced about. We'll definitely come back to Tillman's for specialty meat needs.
