Three Charm Farm is a farmstead creamery located in Southern Maine that specializes in crafting small-batch artisanal dairy products, including cheese, skyr, and raw goat milk. Sometimes I make a pilgrimage to Three Charm Farm in Lyman. This a really precious place where a free-roam horse might greet you and 100+ year old barns are filled with delightful, oily wood smells. Sheep and goats are milked and cared for the old way; there are no industrial steel shoots or dirty machines mass production. I buy their plain yogurt and pure sheep milk for their impressive nutrition bioavailability. I can't tolerate cow milk, but with a dose of lactase enzymes, these products agree with me. If you treat yourself to their really nice chèvre cheese, you won't be disappointed, either! Sheep milk tastes a LOT nicer than any other milk I’ve tried. It sports a very clean finish without any funk. I'm so glad I discovered this place! Note: They often sell out of their fresh milks for the day by the afternoon.
I had a great visit here with my girlfriend. We stopped by to check out their farmstand. They sell goat and sheep dairy products in a self serve fridge setup. It is located in the left side of their barn. We bought some incredible chèvre, skyr, and feta! We met the farmers (all women I might add) and they were extremely friendly and showed us around. We got to see and pet lots of goats and sheep.
A wonderful small farm that raises sheep and goats for award winning soft cheese and yogurt. Visit them during their open barns and look for their cheese at local establishments.
Amazing Goats milk! Super nice and wonderfully friendly farm. I am a customer for life :)
I bought goat milk, yogurt from Farmers Market in Saco. They both were very good, I am wondering if you can buy it at the grocery store, probably not. I really liked it. I bet the cheese is really good
Day labor on a real cheese farm: Check ✔ Ingrid is the head lady in charge and works with a small family crew in Alfred. Will make a point to get a good photo with a goat who's got the most interesting character.
Amazing!!!! Absolutely love the cheeses. We buy multiples every week we can at our local CSA farm!
OMG!!! I just enjoyed a plate at a restaurant in York and they use this farm's cheese. I'm in love 🥰 …
Lambs and kids to cuddle! What more can I say, oh yeah, delicious yogurt/cheese products.
The best goat cheese, chevre, feta and youghurt.
Loved it! Very friendly. It was a great experience.
Amazing farm with amazing and kind staff!
