Thielen Meats of Pierz

Recently, my family and I decided to buy our meat locally and invest in a 1/4 cow and 1/2 hog. This was entirely new territory for us. I had many questions regarding products, the ordering process, and cost. The folks at Thielen Meats of Pierz were beyond great to work with! The quality of the meat purchased is fantastic, and the value for the quantity we purchased is exactly what we were looking for. One highlight is that Thielen carries frozen Halibut, which has been hard to find frozen in a traditional, large grocery store. Thank you, ThielenMeats of Pierz! Thielen's is just wonderful! Every time I go, I think to myself that I need a meat market near me on the east coast. The staff is always patient and helpful. The selection is extensive and the prices are reasonable.

I stopped in to grab some products, and one of them were the cheddar beef sticks from the display case. After I left, I grabbed one of the sticks to snack on. I noticed after a few bites that the sticks were loaded with sodium, more than I've ever had in a stick. I thought Slim Jim's were salty. These were way worse. As I got further into the stick, I was chewing chunks of cartilage and weird tissue/tendon as seen in the photos. There was even a small piece of bone, so I had to keep my truck window open so I could spit out the strange objects. The pricing on their products has gone up significantly, too. I used to be able to buy quite a few items here to stock up my freezer, but now it's not affordable for what you are getting. I purchased some frozen chicken breasts, and the cashier didn't give me the 20% discount as advertised. I had to tell her about the sign on the freezer showing the 20% off, so she had re-ring it up. I felt like she was trying to screw me over at the register. If you stop here, make sure you watch the pricing when paying for expensive items. My suggestion would be to go somewhere else.

Thielens has been the place to go since I can remember. I love their bacon, beef sticks and cheese curds. Steaks are obviously amazing too. The crew is always friendly and always willing to answer questions if you have them too!

Really enjoy the teriyaki beef sticks. They help power us on long road trips from Minnesota to Florida. You can also simply stand out side the store and get the free smells. Plan ahead since they aren't open on Sunday.

Only place I'll buy meat, "Rosie's award winning jerky" is hands down my favorite item besides their bacon and smoked pork chops. Anything you get from there will not disappoint. Staff is always super helpful and friendly and they have treats for yer doggos you can purchase on the way out 💕😎 …

Best smoked salmon anywhere, the meat sticks are the best, You can't buy anything here that hasn't been tested and true, great entrees as well as hourdevoures. The staff and owners are second to none, making you feel at home and taking care of your order exactly the way you want.

Great small town meat market with an excellent selection of high quality meats and accessories. Sauces and spices. Famous location, bringing people from all over to get some bacon and sausage.

The quality of the products are unbeatable, with their smoked salmon being the best you will find in a 5 state radius as is for Rosie's famous jerkey. One visit to Thielen meats of Pierz and you'll be back for more even if adds an hour to your trip. Enjoy.
