The Chopping Block Meat Market

Drove from Houston back home to Rockport. We decided to go out of our way to buy some boudin that we saw posted on their FB page. The staff seemed really.busy packaging up some orders and greeted us. We asked questions for them to continue acknowledging us. We didn't see any of the bondins we had seen. Was informed it was a high demand product. Understandable. We left and I posted a comment on FB about them being out and customer service could've been better. I got an instant block from them. If you're not able to take constructive feedback, how can you run a business successfully?

First time trying this place. The people were super friendly, they even tried to convince me to let my SO get the smoker he's been wanting forever and a day. Lol. But yeah great cuts of meat, delicious flavor. We got the sirloin, stuffed chicken, chicken bombers, and seasoning. In total it was a little over 60 dollars, definitely can't beat the prices. Will definitely be back! Wanted to do the food truck outside, the food smelled delicious, but they weren't open yet, so that is definitely on the list for next time!

I was actually trying to get to a different market but hit bad traffic getting out of Houston. What an advantageous fix to what was looking like a ruined trip! Everything was good, and I got a serious mix. Breakfast sausage reminded me of fresh ground pork at small local butchers in Germany. It doesn't even cook the same as store bought because of the grind. Should have bought 5lbs. Denver cut steaks aren't the most common and they had multiple grades including wagyu with some excellent marbling and DEEP flavor. Girlfriend said the filet was one of the best she's had. That's it in the video with a little foie gras. Real cured (not super wet) bacon. A beautiful half chicken. Some great Italian sausage. Duck fat spray... Will be back with a cooler and game plan. The selection and quality were slightly overwhelming.

These guys are the best of the best! Asked for some jerky meat and they knew exactly what I wanted and needed. Best butcher shop in Texas!!! Thanks guys!

Everything about this establishment is great. The atmosphere, the incredible selection of quality cuts of meat and prepared sausages, as well as the people behind the counter. I was impressed the first time I visited The Chopping Block and I've made several return trips. Prices are better than fair especially for the quality and selection.

Ordered a brisket for Thanksgiving and it was incredible. Very moist, full of flavor and fed the family for several days. Will definitely return and make this a new tradition.

Hands down some of the best turkey and ham(it was even boneless ham) that I’ve ever had. The thanksgiving package was awesome and affordable, it actually turned out to be cheaper than buying all the groceries and cooking for the size of our group(10 adults and 5 kids) . We’ve never catered before this year, but Mom was relieved to only be cooking a few things. Really really good value and amazing quality. I wish I would’ve taken pictures.

This is the only place I shop for meat now. It is always high quality and delicious. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

The best rib eye steak I have ever eaten. Restaurants do not get close to the delicious flavor. One steak four meals for me on my Carnivore diet.

Absolutely outstanding. I got a pound of the Brisket BBQ Sausage and Spicy Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage. Highly recommend. The prices are very reasonable for the quality that they provide.

Just had a great experience there. Everyone was super friendly. They were running a special and the value was excellent. Can't wait to bust out the grill tonight!
