We stopped here randomly because we wanted huckleberries from the neighboring market: what a mistake. This is the place to go! Wide assortment of products ranging from sausages to ribeyes and tomahawks. Get the bison, it is worth the drive from anywhere in the USA.
I traveled from a far off distance hungry and thirsty. I thought I'd grab me a slab of meat and a drink until I saw the cost of that meat. Wow, I thought to myself, the meats cost both arms and legs compared to what I'm used to paying. 😱. I clearly walked out only with a clearly Canadian drink which I have not had in over 25 years. For that I am very grateful.
I’ve bought meats from the owner for years. He is not just a butcher. He is an artisan. This is the first time I’ve purchased from him since he started the Chopp Shoppe. I purchased Delmonico ribeye steaks. They were beautiful. The marbling looked like Wagyu beef. I cooked the steaks for long time friends. They said they were the best steak they’ve ever eaten and I agreed. I read a review that said the meat is over priced. I will say, these steaks were prime quality. I paid $24 per pound. I will pay it again soon because it is absolutely the best I’ve ever had.
Top quality freshness. Extremely friendly owner and fully competent staff. Easily spend money there. It's worth it. They all go above and beyond to supply quality over quantity but make enough to go around. Ever changing menu with fun seasonal items. If you're a meat lover you'll love the Chopp Shoppe.
I really wanted to like this place. My husband and I finally decided to stop in to find something yummy to grill. When we walked in the music was REALLY loud, loud enough that my husband and I had to yell at each other to discuss dinner options. It was so loud, we couldn’t get the attention of the staff behind the counter to ask any questions about the various cuts of meat. I ended up leaving because I couldn’t handle the loud music. I’m sure the meat is delicious but the consideration for customer service is subpar. I’m all about jamming out…but turn it down when a customer walks in, otherwise it doesn’t feel welcoming.
Choppe Shop is the best in the valley. Nobody has better cuts, better beef, and better customer service. As private chef from a lineage of butchers (Custom Meats wf ca '94), im constantly impressed by their whole operation. Give them your business, you will be amazed!
We bought some sirloins and some ground beef and took it into Glacier. Cooked over charcoal at Bowman Lake with some paddle boards. The meat was amazing! Best sirloin steaks ever! I wish they would open a store back home in Colorado.
We got a few Rib Eye steaks, fantastic! We will be coming back.
Quality meats, ok prices, staff can be a bit curt.
Never again. THE WORST 5 LB PRIME RIB EVER half fat and grissel . My first time in and I was very disappointed and at almost 19 dollars a pound , I thought it was very poor quality. Thanks for showing me early what your capable of chop shop. I'll be sure NOT to recommend you thanks again
