The Butcher's Block

So far so good. Came in a few weeks ago. The lady gave me a little tour of what they had to offer and explained if I want to order the big all big box they need a weeks notice. Called them last Tuesday and picked up today. If it taste as good as the service was then we found us a great local butcher.

Some of the best customer service and most importantly the best cuts of meat you will find in our area. I've ordered and purchased steaks from big names and they do not stand a chance to a Butcher Block Filet. Some of the best marbling you can find. While you are there go ahead and get a few pounds of Smoked sausage because it's the best!

Found this place after moving to the area. Very warm and welcoming. Great staff, great prices, and good products. It's more than just meat.

What a great establishment and local business! The epitome of excellent customer service. You can tell the staff really cares about the quality of their products as well as the customers they are providing the service to. Amazing prices that are comparable to the other chain markets. I won’t ever buy meat from a corporate retailer again.

Stopped by the Butcher’s Block to get some fresh ground sausage. It was my first time visiting the store and the owner was very friendly and explained what he had available. I got a 1/2lb of the hot and another 1/2 lb of the mild sausage because I wanted to try them both. Also pick up some jalapeño cheddar sausage link for later. I prefer sausages patties for breakfast so I ‘patted them out’ (as we say in the country 😂 ) when I got home and cooked them with eggs and grits. They were great! The mild was very mild, and the hot wasn’t too hot at all. I’ll order the hot for breakfast in the future. I’ll probably mix some of the mild with ground beef the next time I make my own burgers. I look forward to returning and trying other meats from this locally owned and operated business. Sure, you pay just a little more than the big box stores, but you know that the meat is fresh and handled with care. More importantly, you are supporting a small business that is invested in the local community.

Awesome meat.. my husband & I purchased some ribeye's recently & the best steak's we've ever had.. can't wait to try the Roast! Everything we've had was delicious.. Everyone come try it out.. Support local businesses! Oh & no worries about food borne bacteria here..

Best steak in a long time. The staff are friendly and very helpful . Wife liked the bakery. The bread was excellent . Definitely going back.

This is our go to meat store. Steaks are great and brisket are perfect. Folks that work here are phenomenal. As many times as I've been there I've never tried there cooked food until yesterday. Johnny gave me a sample of the smoked chicken wings, I'll now be getting an order of these whenever I go to pick up the steaks.

Always has the best service. The steak, roast and sausage we purchased was delicious. Thank you for always having the items we are looking for.

My husband and I moved out to this area of town and decided we really wanted to shop local when possible rather than support a grocery chain. We are thrilled we found this place! The owner, Roy, is the nicest guy and makes all of his own sausage in house. We've tried the jalapeño cheddar and the garlic - both great! His selection is way better than what you'd find at a grocery store and no ractopamine or other chemicals/preservatives, which is what we want. Dependent on what you buy, the meat is also less expensive or comparable to what you'd find in a grocery store. With the quality of what you get, we have been made loyal customers. Heck, we're having meatballs tonight, ribeye on Friday, and sausage this weekend for breakfast!

Very nice people and great location. I ordered 2 items of deer sausage to get processed and smoked and spent over $300+ and was looking forward to it to pick it up and the meat was packaged in trash bags……. Definitely not worth $300+ in this economy. Oh well, the search continues for a go-to deer meat processor.

Saw sign constantly passing by so gave it a shot wanted to try something new. Definitely a low key spot for hot take out food. Nice portions and the cook very friendly and held great conversation while preparing meal. Didn't get anything from meat market but planning on getting large portions of cooked meat for holidays.

The Butcher Block was advertising truck load sale at Tractor Supply Swainsboro Ga. So I bought $350.00 of meats. What a BIG mistake. I cooked the steaks slow and it came out so tough I can't eat them. Well this is the first and last time I will WASTE my money with THE BUTCHER BLOCK. The meat has no taste. Seems like I can purchase a lot better quality meat at the grocery store. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Speaking mostly on the take out food: the food is incredible. Some of the largest portions on takeout food ive ever had with amazing prices. The white bbq sauce is unbelievable. The man running the kitchen is so nice as well. Highly recommend the sausage and mashed potatoes and gravy.

Had a great experience with the gentleman in the shop. Showed us all the options he had. Settled on some ribeyes and a filet. The meat was excellent quality and the entire group enjoyed. Will definitely visit again the next time we come back to Savannah/Tybee.

The owners have a specialty homemade sausage and sage is the magic ingredient. They have it raw and have it smoked. This sausage is the jive. I am so glad I tried it per owners advice. It's $5.99 a pound last trip I took 2020 September. You must purchase a pound or more. This is how it's sold.
