Worse sandwich I ever had. Got an eggplant parm. The bread completely fell apart and it’s terribly dry. The macaroni salad had an awful aftertaste. Will never go back.
Cool NY deli on the side of 17, definitely worth a stop if you're road tripping to/from Myrtle. Sandwiches are good and they have a small shop. My cold, classic Italian on the NY bread was really good, jam packed with meats and fixins, the hot chicken parm was not bad, but I expected a bit more flavor and my chicken was a little dried out, so 4 stars for the deli. Sandwiches are pretty good size and could easily be split between two adults. Overall the place was more fun than a barrel of pickles, which they also have.
We enjoyed a catered event that included pastas, sausage w peppers and onions, eggplant and chicken parmesean and some of the best chicken marsala. So last week for dinner, sandwiches and they were amazing! Get the NY Style bread for the perfect addition to any meal, or by itself! Great prices, large portions and fresh and flavorful!
Came on the recommendation of a friend to get some sandwiches and then eat them next door at Makai brewing while having a beer. It was a fun early dinner for sure. We got chicken, tuna and brisket sandwiches. The chicken and tuna were stuffed to overflowing with fresh chicken and tuna and were delights! The brisket had horseradish sauce which was tasty but to be honest if I order it again I would ask for more BBQ sauce on it.. it was a bit dry. Fun to walk around the deli while they made our snacks… should have bought a bag of chips or something to eat with them while having our beers.. my bad on that! ,
Called and asked if they had porterhouse. Yes, $17.99lb. Drove 50 minutes and none in meat case. After several minutes of friendly staff not knowing how to answer, they finally found Kevin to cut two porterhouse. They were not porterhouse but T-bones and YES there is a distinct difference I stupidly accepted them even with the tiny filet. What made the 2 star rating is the bone dust was scraped off only the meat facing out. The other 3 edges weren't scraped at all. When I managed butcher shops this was not accepted. Respect your customers and scrape all sides. If you can't be bothered to do that what else is halfway done? Perhaps floor product dated 2023 as shouted by one staff to the others.
I loved coming here . The assortment of meats are amazing . A true Italian spot with a wide range of small bites. The line can get long for ready to order items but they move very quickly. The Ricotta pound cake is their signature and the pasta sauces are ALL good. I’ll continue to buy meat here as it’s very fresh. The persons who frequent here are also very nice .
Hidden gem! Great place! One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The prices are high, but I think they are worth the quality of food. 🥪😋 …
Excellent food here (albeit a bit pricey). Very nice staff working there and the deli salads are unbelievably delicious!
Wow.. wasn't expecting that! My only complaint is that it's 3 1/2 hours from my house. Place was clean.. selection was fantastic.. and the made to order deli sandwiches.. amazing! Do not pass this place up.
One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Fresh baked bread was outstanding! Will be back! Mac salad was awesome too!
It’s honestly a shame I need to leave this review as my family has often frequented this place for a few years. I purchased two packs of ground beef yesterday (June 17), both dated June 21. Today one pack still looked good but the other had …
Outstanding place. Loved the sandwiches. You can really appreciate how much care goes into every element of the sandwich. Perfectly toasted bread and high quality meat and cheese. A highlight of our vacations at Sunset Beach.
Wow. Fantastic brisket. And chicken salad, never would have guessed. And Makai right next door! Match made in... NC
Great little place if your looking for unique food items and great cheeses and meats.
Wonderful Italian deli and butcher shop. We always love their subs. The also carry a variety of Italian groceries including all kinds of pasta, sauces, olives, and peppers. Always worth stopping in.
Great little market!! Fresh bread. Deli, meats Definitely worth stopping and checking it out!
The three of us have had much better Italian Deli sandwiches. The Italian Bread was hard. The deli meats were fatty and salty. There should have been more dressing.
I have eaten many sandwiches at The Butcher of Brunswick for several years. In the past the sandwiches were excellent. That said, my past 3 experiences have been poor at best. The bread is burned one one side and soggy on the other. At …
Ah, the benefit of a fresh turkey breast! Forget about spending several days thawing. More days, bring a half thawed turkey. Get a fresh one from the butcher, then enjoy the flavors of a fresh one like Grandma served. While you are there, pick up their delicious gravy and maybe a side dish or two!
Wonderful deli and market, love it. They have some very unique italian items I haven't seen in a long time!
