The Alpine Wurst & Meat House is a specialty store focusing on authentic German food products, including a wide selection of meats and delicacies. They offer various sausages, smoked meats, and other German culinary items, catering to both retail customers and local chefs. Although the restaurant is currently closed, the market remains popular for its quality products and community presence.
Super amazing selection of German food! This was my first time here as I was in the area. They pretty much have anything you can think of in German delicacies π©πͺπ«ΆMy shopping list included Gelbwurst, Liverwurst, Head Cheese, Landjager, variety of sausages, Knorr mixes, pretzels, mustard,Limburger cheese, pierogies and the most amazing Black Forest Cake π©πͺπ. The place is super clean, well organized and the nicest staff ever! Canβt wait to come back!
Unfortunately, the restaurant is still closed. That's the best part. But they're fresh. Meat and deli were awesome. Always love going there.
Great place for authentic German food and atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The restaurant was extremely clean, Bathrooms too. There is plenty of parking and entrance is wheelchair accessible. All of our meals were delicious. The only reason for taking a star away was for the price. A hotdog and fries with a small saucer with applesauce for almost $12 for the kids menu. That's definitely over-priced.
Great atmosphere, great authentic alpine food, great service at great prices. Feels like home cooking and is consistently tasty across the menu. After you have a wonderful, filling meal go to the market and buy some of their high quality meat. The beef jerky is the best and smoked scallops are a rare treat.
Stopped in here to try their german good. Everything on the menu looked delicious. Ended up deciding on the buffet. All the sausages and prime rib were tasty. Potato salad. Soup. And more. So full after eating. But still had dessert.
We came here late on Sunday afternoon around 4:30pm. Closing time is 5 pm on Sundays. We did not know that. Our waitress Bonnie was very polite. We were not rushed. Food was great. Other guests arrived even later than us. There was no sign of hurrying customers.
Love the store. They have a great selection of food from Germany. The best chocolate too.
We love getting our meats here. They have authentic German meats and treats. The service is always great and we have been coming here for years. If you have been a cook for a while, check this place out as they desire to reopen the restaurant. The Alpine has been pinnacle to the community, and did i mention that if you become cook, look forward to Octoberfest.
Purchased a strawberry rhubarb pie this past weekend and was very disappointed. Rhubarb was not cooked very well, very hard and made the pie bitter to taste. Would expect better for the price.
I own a local farm to table retail meat store called Arlington Meats. I brought my meat to the Alpine to have it turned into hotdogs and sausage. I was incredibly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the packaging of the products was also top notch. Over an A++ experience, I hope to do business with them for many years to come.
Ive been coming here ever since the Catskill smokehouse changed hands and started introducing Italian products. This place is real old world German pork store.
Terrible. The restaurant is closed but you can buy sausage at stores. I bought at Weis Market and both, the Weisswurst and the Cheesekrainer were absolutely terrible. Disgusting really. Nothing nearly close to what they supposed to taste. As a german, I am not recommending these two products.
A taste of central German butcher meats in the Poconos, headcheese sausage and ham with a good selection of dry goods and condiments. Will return.
Great butcher shop. Wonderful staff and large selection of sausages and smoked meats.
Some food there are very good. But we found some very expired date on food also. 2025 now....some food was expired at 2024 and 2022 !!! Anyway store is ok but not perfect
The restaurant is closed but great deli. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. Delicious potato salad.
This is my go-to German meat market in the area... while I miss their restaurant, which closed during the pandemic and did not reopen, their selection and quality of German delicacies are, in a word, 'wunderbar!' Sorry, I couldn't resist. π β¦
Still has restraunt closed. Workers say probably permanent. Deli has half the inventory it used to have
Best butcher in the area. Beautiful meat. Friendly service.
