Superior Meat Market

I have been looking for a good butcher shop for a while. I usually go to the Market on Memory Lane. One day I am on Queen Street and notice this butcher shop sitting in this small shopping center. As I walked in the first thing I noticed is how organized and clean the place was. The atmosphere was quiet. The people behind the counter were super friendly and welcoming. There is a big selection of good quality meats and poultry. The bonus is that you can order fresh organ meats. I love this butcher shop, and I will definitely continue to give them my business.

This has been my go-to spot for high quality cuts of meat for over 30 years. The steaks are always well marbled, the chicken is never tough, easily the best Maryland crab soup in town. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The meat never looks dried out in the case. The chuck and round are ground fresh throughout the day.

Thanks so much for the large shrimp pasta order! My guests loved it! Will definitely be coming back to try more things or any future party food needs.

Superior as always :D Have used this market many times, and they haven't missed. Tonight's Dinner was CC Bone in Pork Chops, and not only was the cooking rather quick for these six 1- 1.25" chops (which somehow timed perfectly with the mashed potatoes), but was tender, juicy, and so flavorful that I decided to type this out after eating. A butcher for 15 years, I have utilized the shop for 13, traveling from my home in Indianapolis, IN to my partner's family. When we cooked here, we would grab from Superior. Ribeye roast that I shaved for cheesesteaks during an Eagles super bowl win and my same day birthday party, or sausage for my biscuits and gravy for cabin trips, to soup bought for my birthday this year from my Mother in Law, that was an *AWESOME* gift, btw. And it was a simple meal tonight that brought it out of me to type, lol CHEERS TO YA!

Their meat and homemade products are amazing. I don't like to cook very much and I go there and find the most wonderful choices to prepare for dinner.

Excellent place for meats and customer service my mom shopped there years ago when it started as the beef shoppe might pay a little more but very well worth it plus the bundle packs are great

What an AWESOME butcher shop! I visited for the first time yesterday and was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the gentleman behind the counter. He asked right away how he could help/what I was looking for. I told him I saw they carried grass fed beef. He confirmed this, and showed me the different options they had, including a farm in Dover, and their own beef. He explained all the differences to me, where everything is sourced, how it is raised, what types of grass are fed, and the difference between grass fed/grass finished and grass fed/grain finished (grain in last 30 days only, and no corn used). The breadth of knowledge this gentleman had was astounding! I not only walked out with 3 pounds of Superior’s ground chuck (which made AMAZING burgers!), but also 4 halves of organic chicken breasts raised in Lancaster county, and 1/2 pound roast beef Superior makes themselves, with no preservatives added. The gentleman let me know expected shelf life in the fridge of everything so I could order accordingly, which was very helpful! If you’re looking for an honest, highly informative butcher shop with great prices and a TON of integrity, look no further. I am a customer for life!

We place our order by phone from our home in Southern MD and drive to York to pick up. That's how great this place is. Fantastic owners and staff, always helpful. And their homemade soups are the best! We have been getting our Christmas tenderloin from them as long as I can remember. Highly recommend!!

Meat good.. counter help not so much. Wife and I both noticed attitude in guy waiting on us...But as he said I only work here.

This is our favorite butcher shop and they are such a wonderful business. Their meat selection is fantastic and the taste is even better! Amazing value and quality customer service. They outshine in service, I was cutting it close to their closing hour and they still served me in the best way! So thankful to have a butcher shop that provides delicious meat and caring workers!

Just made an amazing stuffed beef tenderloin for 12 guests. They provided a beautifully butterflied, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth tenderloin. Highly recommend.

I love this place. I peeked in one day and was immediately taken back to a time in this country where we used to have butcher shops. This market is the best at customer service, food selection, and a unique value that I enjoy..

Best meats around, I often drive from Delaware to purchase . People ask why I drive to PA for meat. haha then they try it and ask for me to bring them some. AWESOME MEAT!! THANKS Steve George Brian and papa for starting this yrs ago..

Superior is the right word this "new to me" gem hidden in plain view. The retail outlet is very spacious and offers just everything from side dishes and soups, to deli meats and full on roasts. Prices are very reasonable, bought a "family pack" for under $70 that filled my freezer. I'd guess average price per pound is somewhere around $3. I am looking forward to being a regular.

Somewhat pricy, however, the meat is fresh, wrapped in paper and locally sourced. The lunch meat is cooked on premises and sliced fresh. The roast beef and turkey are outstanding. The frozen meat bundles are very reasonable and the sausage is homemade and delicious 😋 You get what you pay for here.. ! …

Great little place to find some wonderful steaks, especially the sirloin steaks. They are wonderful and tasty. The ground beef is phenomenal. Best burgers ever were made with their ground beef. Stop in and see many other selections available. Prices are very reasonable.

Their beef tenderloin - frozen or fresh - is unbelievable! After buying their meatballs for beef stroganoff or spaghetti, you will never make your own or buy them from a grocery store again. I always keep a few packs in the freezer. The store is immaculately clean and service is great.
