Best ever!!!!! Always fresh meats and clean meats. Customer service is superb(excellent) as well. Everyone is friendly and courteous.

Plenty of meat options including seafood ( fresh water and salt water), if they don't have in store they do their best to order what you're asking for including live crawfish...

Good selection of meats and they cut to your preference! Prices are good.Always on point with everything!

I picked up ham for my mom and got some sausage for myself, and both were excellent! The country ham on biscuits was perfect for Christmas. Also had their homemade sausage and fixed sausage biscuits, and it was delicious! They have a clean store with excellent service! I would recommend anyone to stop by and check it out!

Everyone is so attentive although it's a small store, you can find every single cut there. The guys know you and know about what you regularly get from there so they are always ready to answer your questions or to make a suggestion according to your needs. They also repack or reshape what you buy if you ask them to. The freshness is at another level and the prices are very affordable as well. Go there if you want to get some fresh products.

This store is awesome here in Emporia VA. Good people and great prices on there meats. Stop by and check them out.. Went to Spivey's on July 17th 2025 and got some makes crabs.. They was awesome and fresh..

Great people, great place, amazing prices on the meats. I live in NC but let me tell you. I travel for my meats. Fresh farm raised meats all natural. I'm a country gurl and this is a country store. Love it!

When you want old, fashioned smoked ham, turkey, sausage, this is the place to go. Also, a great variety of other things to cook.

Staff here was very attentive, and helpful. I found the meat selection was better quality than the big name supermarkets, and same, or lower price. It's not a really big store just a local mom, and pop with a great selection. If you are in the area, or cruising along 95 take the exit, and stop in. This is going to be another one of my favorite stops along my route 95 travel.

My family have been coming here my entire life. We live in New Kent VA and still shop here several times per year. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter road trip! The best meats, prices, always clean, along with polite staff and service request for special meat cuts are no problem. I travel over 2 hours to Spivey,'s to get smoked meats and sausage. They have the best Virginia smoked ham. The store is small, but has a lot to offer. The food is always fresh and the staff is amazing. I am never disappointed.

I'm new to the area, and stumbled upon Spivey's Market while looking for my new insurance agent. I will NEVER buy meats from anywhere else again!! Their meats were fresh and reasonably priced. Spivey's has the the best staff...sweet, courteous and knowledgeable.

Order two half inch rib eye steaks. When they gave them to us, they were two thirds fat. Usually meet from spivey's market is excellent,but today it was terrible. No way was I going to pay for two packs of beef fat

It was a place recommended by a friend who lives in the area and this customer service was great however the prices were a bit expensive compared to a local Country Store in my area. I thought I would get at least the same or a better price at the store but I didn't. It was a different place and I supported their business.
