Sparrow Market is one of Ann Arbor’s true hidden gems. The meat is always incredibly fresh, and the staff go above and beyond with friendly, knowledgeable service. Their selection of specialty items is excellent, and the whole place has a warm, local charm that’s hard to find. Always a pleasure to shop here.

Probably the best place in town to get groceries. Quality is nice and consistent. Prices aren't too bad either.

I only wish I lived closer. So many delicious choices. I found lovely fresh pasta, Tuscan olive oil, tinned fish, local jams and sauces, a wide selection of meat and fresh seafood. Many specialty items that are hard to find. Best of all was the service. Friendly. Knowledgeable.

Sparrow is the best! The meat is great quality and they have it all! Great cuts and super friendly, helpful, knowledgable butchers and counter help too. Sparrow is a part of my weekly routine because it is one stop shopping! Not only is the meat great but the produce and other groceries (and they have an amazing variety for a little shop) are all in one place and good quality too.

Best meat market in SE Michigan. Always great selection and unique cuts. Wagyu, pichana, aged ribeye and some of the best bacon

Went for the first time today and everyone was extremely helpful, including the owner! They had everything I needed meat and produce wise (the pork belly is super high quality), and the fish market connected had the rest of what I was looking for, will definitely be back!

Manager is very unprofessional and told me I was “calling him a liar” when I asked about a cheesecake I’d purchased that was given to me in bad condition. The cake could have been tampered with and the manager did not care about my concerns. Highly recommend you grab an ek cheesecake from ANYWHERE else.

The meats on offer here looked great!!! Thick steaks and pork chops. I noticed quite a bit of Michigan grown meats. They had a very decent selection of specialty sausages.
