I can’t say enough good things about Slate Hill Cattle Co! I first tried their beef tallow and was absolutely blown away by the quality—it’s rich, clean, and makes everything I cook taste incredible. I loved it so much I went back and bought more just to gift to my neighbors! I’ve also tried their Remy Treats and they’ve been a huge hit—it’s clear they care deeply about the quality of everything they produce. You can taste the difference in every bite. Great company for your Grass fed healthy beef! If you get a chance get you some of the beef tallow!! It’s great for all cooking need! I use it with deer burgers as deer is very lean!! Owner is easy to talk to and is full of knowledge if you have any questions!!

I went to slate hill farm for the opening of their farm stand. First thing I noticed was how beautiful the location is with the reservoir in the background. Dennis the owner is a Navy Veteran and I love to support local businesses. Dennis gave me a bag of apples and I headed down to feed the cattle. It was really neat and a pretty cool experience. As a veteran myself anything involving animals is right up my alley. Cool experience. Dennis cooked a plethora of meats to try throughout the afternoon. My favorite was the chorizo. Anyway I purchased so rib eye, beef tallow, tallow moisturizer, honey, and tomato sauce. It was such a good experience I decided to support this business then and there. Go check out the cattle. You won't be disappointed. Its something neat to do on a nice day. But wear boots and put tick juice on.

I picked up a tenderloin roast for Christmas eve dinner. I cannot express how delicious it was. Everyone raved about it. Dennis was awesome helping me pick the perfect cut for the occasion. I will be buying all of my beef from here in the future. It's nice to know exactly where my food comes from.

The best beef I have ever had; you seriously have to try to mess it up. Just cooked to your liking with a sprinkle of salt and it tastes absolutely delicious! The knowledge, care and love that they have for their herd is unmatched. I know that with this beef, I am fueling my family with something that’s not only incredibly nutritionally dense, but lived a beautifully peaceful life in Portsmouth, RI. They are doing it right. As long as they have the cattle, they have a customer in me!

Placed my order on Wednesday and received it today (Saturday). I’m anxious to try everything! Update: D O G ((Dee-O-Gee) loves the Remy treats. She even begged for more! The Tallow Balm is amazing. Used it on my lips as soon as I got it yesterday, and my lips are so smooth and soft this morning! Going to try the beef tallow when I fix supper this evening. Update! Been using the whipped tallow balm on my face and neck and it is amazing! Every product I’ve tried has been over the board great!

We came across Slate Hill farm from the burger joint Mission in Middletown and really enjoyed their products. My wife and I have been on a mission to work with local purveyors for the majority of our food. Slate Hills beef has been the best we’ve had on island. We’ve not only enjoyed their beef but eggs, honey, and lastly our dog Roux’s favorite treats! Veteran and family owned business. Doesn’t get much better than that. Looking forward to their farm stand being open full time!

I saw a post on Crystal‘s Facebook page about candles. I read on and saw that the candles were made of tallow and essential oils. I did some Christmas shopping, knowing that these candles are free from dyes and no harmful chemicals. When I went to the website, I noticed that there are so many more products. I now had to shop for myself too. The honey is amazing the candles are so so pretty and have the right amount of nontoxic scent. I was so excited to see the dog treats. I said to myself, they have A loyal customer. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and I have to watch what I give her. So far she’s loving the treats and gets so excited when she hears us opening the bag. Another surprise I found on the website is that they Ethically and humanely raise a rare and mighty Austrian Pinzauer breed of cattle right on their ranch. This will be the next purchase I’ll be looking into. They also offered us a field trip to visit the farm. We’ll do that soon. Another added touch was a note thanking me for my purchase signed by the owner. Shop local. I’m so excited I have this local farm to purchase quite a few things from.

I decided to order some beef tallow balm and lip balm from here for the first time. Not only am I so impressed with both products but customer service is also superb. My order was at my door step 2 days after placing the order. It had a little thank you card in it and a hand written personal message from one of the owners. Always a nice little touch! They even texted me checking on the arrival of my order. As far as the products, I will never use a different lip balm. My lips literally feels so smooth and hydrated. The tallow balm has left my skin feeling plump and hydrated the next morning. I will definitely be a repeat customer and can't wait to try some other products that they offer!

I purchased a bone in rib-eye to try. The cut and flavor were absolutely amazing. After that I had purchased 2 lbs of ground beef and made the most amazing burgers. The steak was flavorful, juicy, and tender. As well as the ground beef. I plan on trying the beef tallow, also Dennis is very knowledgeable and responsive when I reach out last minute for something.

The steaks are amazing! Great customer service. Reasonably priced. The fact that this is a Veteran owned company makes it even better!
