The quality of this meat is excellent whether frozen or fresh. The difference is obvious in the taste and texture. My family thoroughly enjoys the Tbone, steak, beef livers and chicken.
The meat was good but the price is high! The packaging was pretty thick so I think the weight of it Is not that much in the package! They should use a lighter packaging so you get your moneys worth!!

Used to shop here all the time, but prices have gone through the roof over the last year or so since the new ownership, the latest price hike is the last straw for me. Ok, I did not want to write a review because the secret will be out. NJ has an organic butcher with very reasonable prices. I will say it this way...I will happily drive an hour each way. Beef? Every cut imaginable, grass fed and finished, pasture raised. Talk about hechsher, the animals are well treated. This place is a true godsend for people looking for organic and pasture raised beef, pork and chicken. Great, friendly staff. Very helpful.

Terrible customer service! You place an order over the phone and you're told that you'll get a call back SOMETIME in the next day informing when you can pick up your order. Really unreliable and difficult to plan a meal around: "sometime," what does that mean? in the morning? in the afternoon? at 5pm? how can you plan a meal like this? I politely insisted on needing a more accurate time, and explained the reasons why that would be helpful. And the answer was: "sorry, butcher is too busy right now." Also, the quality of the meat is not that great to begin with... Update: The owner of this store just called to harass me for having left this bad - but truthful - review. She accused me of lying in the review when I simply reported what happened. And no, I don't think their meat is very good. Apparently I am "BANNED" from this store because of my review. Is there anything else you need to know about the people running this place? Instead of listening calmly to criticism and working on improving their customer service upon reading a critical review, the approach is to call the customer to yell at him. Stay away from this place!
Question : how long does your ground beef stay good for (Estimate of course ) after day of pick up . (Again not actual time due to variation) 1-2weeks I hope, in the fridge . Maybe you should plan around your schedule .. why would a company plan around you , sounds like you think the world revolves around you . I made my order 2 days before thanksgiving and it was ready that same day like 3-4 hours later and I bought 300$ worth of meats . Didn’t seem unfair , even if I had to wait till the next day .. I buy meats for 2 weeks out at a time and buy frozen for the longer haul . Beef doesn’t loose nutrition in the freezer . I didn’t see any issues going here , and I live an easy solid 1.15 hours away .
Very nice meat and nice people. In the past I wasn't able to buy fresh meat direct from responsible farmers, only frozen. Some offerings here are frozen but there are always nice offerings fresh. Everything tastes great including the primal cuts, ground meat, sausages, deli meat, and (especially) bacon.
Great cuts of meat and limited but super fresh vegetables!! They have homemade items and friendly people working there. Everything fresh with a nice frozen section as well. It’s a bit of a drive for me but worth its weight in gas!

Once you develop a taste for the First Class can't go back to Economy. Skillman Farm meat is first class for us. Healthier, fresher, and tastier at much lower cost compared to grain fed, defrosted grocery meat. Why would anyone buy from grocery store?
My absolute favorite local place for meat. Love their chicken liver, chicken feet for my bone broth. Excellent grass fed beef. Everything is excellent. Actually somebody from the west coast recommended them, that’s how I discovered this place.
