I recently ordered from SCF for the first time— bones for bone broth. Finished making my first batch with their bones this week: BEST BONE BROTH EVER. I’ve been making bone broth for years and not only is the flavor from these bones outstanding, but the second batch I brewed for my dogs from the same bones gelled as beautifully as the first. A good firm gel on bone broth is nice, but the real measure of the quality is in the taste and this stuff is nectar straight from the stock pot. I don’t know what Shirttail Farms feeds their cows…because WOW. Couldn’t be more pleased and I count myself a new fan and repeat customer. !

Honestly, my experience here was very good. The place is beautiful, the cows and the animals are lovely. The food was also of excellent quality, and the service was great. I highly recommend coming here.

​Dear Shirttail Creek farm farmers, we roasted one of your *giant* (5.5lbs) chickens with onions, potatoes, carrots and chestnuts, and it was DELICIOUS. My guests, who have been dining with us for xmas eve for 16 years, said it was the best ever, and I agree. Thank you!

Everyone talks about these eggs, but its the one thing I cant comment on as I am going to have to fly down and pick them up in person. I recently placed and order for a handful of things, including bacon and porkchops( in my first order, I have another one I think arriving next week). The ordering process was quick and easy and even through a hurricane delayed the shipment by 2 days, everything arrived cold and ready to go! I started with the bacon because well, its bacon. Thick cut, smoked and the perfect amount of fat to meat ratio. I tossed 6 slices into a cast iron and the rest I did in the oven. The bacon came out perfect! Everyone in my house loved it( including my dogs who managed to get 5 slices off a plate on the counter). The porkchops where amazing from the second I opened the package. The meat did not smell like the barnyard that you get with most store bought pork. It smelled clean, had a natural pink tint and once cooked changed my view on porkchops. The meat was juicy and the fat was absolutely phenomenal. I will be cooking hamburger and the caveman blend this week which no doubt, will be amazing. Thank you!

We love their eggs and beef suet. The egg yolks are bright orange and creamy from happy birds (my kids shun store bought eggs). We render the grass-fed beef suet into tallow. It has an incredible buttery flavor- amazing for cooking and skin care products. Solid farm. We are thankful for their products and presence at our local SFC market!

Shirttail Creek Farm raises their livestock humanely and rotates them on pasture to benefit soil health and raise nutrient-dense food. They allow on-farm pick-up of orders by appointment. They also sell at the Austin farmers markets and at Local Pastures in Austin. Their food is delicious!

These are truly the best eggs I've ever had! Their yolks are amazingly orange. I used to be able to find them at Central Market but sadly they stopped carrying them. If you spot them, BUY THEM!

Some of the most hard working people who have a wide selection of excellent products like grassfed beef, eggs, pork, chicken anywhere in the country. Tried them all, my favorite is their filet and eggs

We made hamburger with their ground beef from farmers market and there were so many bones in it(yes! In the ground beef!!smh) so my tooth broke. I ended up doing crown cost$$$... I am so frustrated

You really only get to know someone's character when things go wrong. I wont dwell on what happened but accidents happen and things are forgotten. Everyone makes mistakes. I believe Sam is the man in charge on this farm. His responsiveness …

Absolutely love this family farm and everything they do to provide our community with the best there is out there, I highly recommend trying them out if you haven't yet, my life has chnaged for the better in every way! Thank you guys!

Their eggs are simply delicious and nothing like in wholefoods or other pasture raised!!
