We pick here every year. It's so beautiful and the strawberries and blueberries are delicious. I wish they would space the customers out a little more. They have it sectioned out so every time people come you get where the last person left off. Very efficient for their farm. Unfortunately you are in this gigantic field and clumped with all the customers.
Couldn't find the farm ! My GPS said it was 10 min from my location in Enfield. I followed directions. Not a single road sign for the farm to pick strawberries . ???
Soooo good!!! I will never eat grocery store strawberries ever again. Only buy fresh, in-season and local..its so worth it! You can make a day of it and pick your own, or you can buy a pint they have already filled at the booth. Credit cards, debit cards are a-OK!
Wonderful family farm in Somers. They have great strawberry picking in June and blueberry picking in July. Great views of nature make the experience here even better! Definitely worth a visit.
This is best place to pick strawberries we had very good time on Sunday,so refreshing and staff are so good and polite and take care of you so well,we had best memories for my son

I pick both strawberries and blueberries here every year. The young women who direct where to pick are are lovely and engage in chat and the picking is always good. I’m a vegetarian so I don’t buy their beef but I appreciate the fact that they graze in fields instead of a feed lot. Scantic Valley is a beautiful farm!
We had an awesome fall day at the Scantic Valley farm! The corn maze was really cool. I took my then 15 month old was amazed by the new experience of being surrounded by corn stalks. They had a fun hay ride around the pumpkin patch and we picked our own pumpkin. Although there weren't many nice ones left we went a week before Halloween. They best thing for us was that they had a giant corn box. It's like a sand box but instead of sand they put corn. It was SO neat. The kids were amazed and the parents TOO we were all gathered around the edge playing with the smooth corn as well. They put toys in there like tractors and little shovels. I forget the actual admission price but I think it was less than $10 per person and the baby was free. Over all an awesome fall outing will be going again this year. BTW we went October, 2012
