Sam's Butcher Block

My family and I enjoy interacting with Sam’s butcher shop family. They are so kind and helpful. We love the quality in meat they offer and the great prices.

Initially had good experience at shop. I do like their product, BUT staff (family) were highly uncourteous this last time. I believe it’s because they were in a rush to get out (closing time 15 min away). When I spoke to owner a following day to discuss, he was even worse. Will not return nor recommend. If you do go, I recommend not going near closing time because I don’t think they care that much for your business 🙄 (and now looking thru reviews, I’m not the only one).

Excellent Butcher Block Fresh Beef, Pork, Chicken, and many other fresh groceries. Definitely recommended very clean well organized. I personally recommend purchasing the Red Chili and Pork meat -Carne Adovada take it home cook it up for great burritos.

So happy we made the change to buy meat from Sam's. Great prices, great taste, was not disappointed! Customer service was amazing! They work hard, fill orders, so nice. Great meat for a reasonable price. The green Chile brats are our favorite. The Chile is on the toasty side, so warm guests that are not used to Chile. In the summer month they do run out sometimes, so call/reserve a dozen (or two). Grill a bunch, freeze in pairs and you got a quick lunch. And while you are at it pick up a steak or two :)

This little meat market is a hidden gem for fresh meats, clean and reasonable .

Driven by this place a hundred times. Had a special event where I needed to buy a large number of steaks. Called ahead and placed order. Price is very reasonable for the quality of meat. Smoked some Top Sirloin and came out phenomenal! Friendly staff means I'll be back for sure.

Ordered for first time and so far meat has been fine and fresh. Maybe once we finish the whole order I will have to change my rating to 5 Stars.

New York strip steak is absolutely delicious!! OMG good. Hamburger is fantastic. We have been buying a little bit here and there from Sam’s. Been pretty happy. Now we bought NY Strips and grilled them. So yummy. We will continue to buy our meat here. With grocery store prices so high and quality so low we decided to buy our meat here and so glad. The prices are equal or better than grocery store and quality is superior.

Always friendly and extremely helpful staff. Meat is packaged perfectly for freezer storage (we order their freezer boxes every month) and clearly labeled. If you can get there when they have their fresh made pico or chorizo make sure to get some, definitely worth it. We've been customers of Sam's for almost 20 years now and will keep returning even though we have moved a city over.

I had never been here before. I was (to say the least) blown away! The meat looked (and was) really fresh! Their prices were comparable to any other grocer around! I really thought their prices would be higher. I will be shopping for my meat here from now on. They are quite a ways from my home. But worth it!

We stopped by and got our first freezer order! The staff was amazing and got our order done quickly. We got the green Chile sausage and bratwurst so freaking delicious! We just moved to Tome’ and this will be our new meat market from now on!!

Just recently left our neighborhood meat market to make the drive to Bosque Farms and it is so worth it! The staff is so nice, very knowledgeable and so willing to help. You can’t beat their prices or quality of meat either! Oh and the assortment of seasonings and jellies are absolutely the best!!

Sam the owner is very personable and has a great attitude and butcher block with quality meats. I have tried some of the ground beef and wanted to try the green chili bratwurst I heard about, so he turned me on to some and they are delicious. Will be back!

It's nice to have a butcher in the neighborhood that has such a variety of fresh meat at reasonable prices. The people are friendly and the establishment is very clean .

I must first start with the fact that I have been a customer of Sam's for almost 30 years. I usually order on the phone so that they may process my order at their convenience. When I called this time they informed they were not taking orders due to the covid 19, understandable but not convenient. I order about twice a month and over 30 years I would call me a loyal customer. I came in to give them my order, which is almost always the same, and was met with rudeness and a ugly attitude. When asked to package my order in amounts that I always do, which are four one lb packages of hamburger and three chicken breast per package. I do not feel like these are unreasonable requests and one I have made many many times! I was told they would not due that for me because they were hungry and wanted lunch! This was at 11.36. They told me I didn't understand what they had been going through and I replied they didn't understand what I had been through,my husband recovery from open heart surgery in this stressful times. I was not rude but was met with hatefulness and refusal of my purchase. I've never been treated like this before anywhere and in a time everyone is telling you to support local business I will never shop there again. I hope whoever reads this and you are a client of Sam's, you will tell them this is no way to treat anyone, anytime even when you have been in business this long. I'm crushed and will never darker their doors again! Sometimes shopping the big box stores are better, at least they want your business.

The experience I had was pleasant until I saw the weight of the cuts that were being weighed, 3.69, 3.5 etc it was supposed to be 4 pounds. I ordered the 300$ Freezer special and keep in mind what was advertised was 44 pounds. I told Michelle and she justified it saying the paper weighed as well and they gave me brats and chicken that's weighed more (I didn't see that) So I was shorted on on steaks and prime ribs and was supposedly given more on cheaper meats. After working 14 hours I just wanted to go home. After weighing it at home and with the weight of paper in mind I got 38.4 in meat out of the 44 advertised meat weight, that's 1/9 of my order I was cheated out of. So I write this as a warning to other customers keep an eye on your purchases so you don't get treated dishonestly either.

I went into Sam's today to get a freezer order. The prices are better than the grocery stores if you do it that way and its saves a ton of money, time and prep. The place is clean, always. It doesnt have that weird butcher smell. The people are really nice and kind. No one was on the cell phone! I loved that! I will always use Sam's due to high quality product and no nonsense service.
