Sage Mountain Farm

We bought a full cow from farmer Phil and Sage Mountain in May 2025. We couldn’t be happier. Working with Phil is so enjoyable. He’s a knowledgable farmer and willing to take the time to teach you about raising cattle and how the whole process, soup to nuts, works Our order was a full cow * Grass fed Grass finished * Federal kill (they vacuum seal) * Ancestral blend (liver/heart) for some of the ground beef * averages $15/lb, total 360 lbs. We split it between 3 families Every cut we’ve had thus far has been damn near life changing. The quality of the meat is unbelievable. Another unforeseen benefit is with nearly every cut we cook we invite friends over to enjoy with us. We really appreciate this cow. We always say, “he had one bad day so we could have many good ones”

The best meat you will ever have! Grass fed- grass finished ground beef and the steak! Wow the best. Also the bacon! And awesome customer service. Win-win!

I'm closing in on a year of CSA boxes and every season has been great. So much of the produce has flavor that's just missing from supermarket produce. We all know homegrown tomatoes are better, but I'm also blown away by their winter squash, cabbage, and limes. I didn't realize how much better those could be. I look forward to every box!

I ordered a beef package from Sage Mountain because I was looking for a high quality beef supplier that was local, all grass fed/finished, and ideally sourced directly from the farm. Sage Mountain checked all the boxes, so gave them a try…and wow!! Hands down the best steaks I’ve ever had, and I always feel fully nourished and energized after eating one. They are my new healthy obsession!

I ordered the work from home box and a csa produce box. The meats were all high quality and included lamb, beef and pork. All the proteins were excellent. The ribeye was my favorite! Charred med rare, juicy, tender and flavorful. The produce was fresh and on point with the season. Will order again

Great variety of produce with an easy CSA box to subscribe to offering weekly or bimonthly options. Pick up locations in convenient locations. I am always impressed with the quality and variety of their produce. I've had to contact Phil a couple times and he was very quick to respond and attentive to detail. Great Farm to support!

This isn’t just organic. You can tell farmer Phil cares for the soil. Food tastes better than any food you have tasted. Like how food should taste. No need for the grocery store with the weekly csa box. Very affordable! A must to join! Thank you for providing so many with healthy healing food!

I rarely buy anything from regular supermarket any more.....I get my beef, pork, and veggies all from Sage Mountain. Best greens ever - love the collards, chard, kale. Always excited to get my CSA box and see what treats are in store for me!

As others mentioned, quality of meat from this farm cannot be beat. Their meat is packaged well and taste great. For anyone wanting to support a local family owned farm, I would strongly suggest buying meat and produce from this farm.
