Do not pass this place by! The smoked meats are simply delicious. We picked up a variety of meats - summer sausage, beef jerky, Hawaiian pork sticks, jalapeno beef sticks and more. Oh my oh my! Delish! Just the right amount of smoke and seasonings. Oh, and if they're selling boules of sourdough bread - get it too. Delicious! If they're open, we're stopping by!

We recently purchased some beef and it was cut and wrapped at Russells. The cutting and wrapping left something to be desired for sure. The steak was rolled into a ball to be wrapped and the roasts are huge! The steak was 21/2 inches cut on one side and less than half an inch on the other. There was meat showing out of the packages as well. The meat itself is amazing but the cut and wrap was a mess.

Jerkey and sausage dogs were awesome. Wish they wouldn't use MSG however.

We had Russels come out and kill a cow...about 1000 lbs.......take it to John Day to butcher and wrap. 2 weeks later they called and said it was ready for pickup. I got 8 milk crates of meat back....I got absolutely nothing back that I ordered on my cut list.....they said they cut according to my list....I requested all the ribeye steaks that I could get...a big brisket....flank steaks.....sirloins.....I got hamburger, arm roasts, 2 small packs of ribeyes...the rest was roasts that i didnt order. The meat, ALL of this meat is so unbelievably tough you cant chew through it! No matter how you cook it, fry it, grill it, crock pot it, this is the toughest meat ive ever had in my life! Even the hamburger is tough! Ive called and asked for the owner to make contact with me and all Ive gotten is the teen age girls who swear i got the meat I ordered......our ranch will never again use Russels!

Been going to this butcher shop for 26+ years. Always personable, clean, fantastic meats, cured pork the best and the pepperoni and jerky a favorite! They will even send jerky to our boys in US military service and across the state. Russell's, you Rock!

Chuck and the staff always do a great job with our beef and game sausage.

I used Russell's this fall for a deer. Apparently it's under new ownership since the spring and they are investing to better serve the community. The owner personally went above and beyond for me. Highly recommend trying them out or circling back if it's been a while.

Russell's is excellent, as always! Good people, great products, and you're always treated like, not just a friend-- but a good friend. Been a customer for a long time, and will continue to be.

Stopped in for a snack tray. Great customer service and friendly atmosphere! Will definitely stop again. Also, the snack tray was awesome too! 🙂

Wish the prices and selection for meat were better, but I get the feeling this place is really all about processing game animals for hunters, a service I have not tried. Overall okay.

Great selection of hand smoked meats, jerky, sausage, and pepperoni. Sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced.

I bought a couple of really beautiful steaks and some delicious hot pepperoni sticks! Awesome meats!

Greatest meat around, Absolutely the best bacon and sausage, always get the bacon cut on #8 like it extra thick.
