Had my venison processed here this season for the first time. Im very impressed! The customer service was top notch, the turn around time was fast, and the quality of processing was top notch. Good work guys! Side note, if you bring venison in for processing, be sure to have some jerky made, 10/10!

I drive an hour down from Nevada County to buy here. Nothing here competes with them. Best selection and price. You need it, they have it or likely can get it. Customer service is excellent and helpful, they absolutely know their stuff. After the last BBQ I had, my friends wanted to know where I got such good meat, now they make the drive too!

I am absolutely speechless over the quality of service we received from Dan the owner of Roseville Meats. My 89yr old father had bought a combo meat box from them and wasn’t quite happy with the results after cooking (probably more of his error in cooking then the quality of the meat) Dan told us to come in and he could see what he could do. Not only did he credit us for the entire box, my dad was able to buy some higher priced meats and we spent another 150 on top of the credit. Dan and his associate Nathan went above and beyond what we ever expected would happen. My father was thrilled at what he was able to buy and we will be telling everyone we know to go to Roseville Meats, they care about their customers. Thank you Dan for restoring our faith in human kindness.

Absolutely top-quality butcher! The meats are always fresh, well-cut, and reasonably priced. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and always ready to offer great recommendations. You can tell they take pride in their work—everything is clean and well-organized.

Oh my, I am coming back here for my special meat orders forever. I have been looking for a great butcher since moving up here, this place has the high end cuts and services restaurants. I’m grateful they have a storefront at all.

I have to said, I was disappointed in with my last purchase. Purchase $125.00 for 6 beef ribs uncut. They were large, meat was tough, almost tasteless. (Bennett has better cuts) One rib was 75% fat, hidden in the package, I guess to increase profit. Sausages were good as well as the bison salami. Serving Roseville for a long time but don't give veterans any type of discounts. SAD

Arrived at the store where 3 employees came to my truck to check my pig in that was very carefully prepared. I mentioned they should run a hook through the ham but Insisted on putting a string through both hams to hoist it. The string then ripped through the hams dropping my cleaned pig on the dirty concrete outside. One man then picked it up and put in on his shoulder while they wiped it off leaving dirt and debris still on the pig. They then put it in a tub and weighed it in at 143 pounds and the person seemed uncomfortable weighing it. Then I walked with someone else to go through how I would like it butchered. I said 20 pounds of snack sticks, 20 pounds of Italian links, 10 pounds of breakfast sausage, and grind the rest. I got a call the next day that the pig was only 89 pounds and they would address all that was in the tag then just grind what was left. The tag shows 89 pounds with 22 pounds of waste. I received 14.5 pounds of snack sticks, 20 pounds of links, and 18 pounds of strait grind including 1 grind bag of Italian. That’s 52.5 pounds of meat total and I paid 468.75 = 9.00 bucks a pound ! I didn’t get any breakfast sausage at all. I have heard of other instances like this with other customers I know but now experiencing it myself I will go back to other butchers in the area and never give them my business again.

We stopped by Roseville Meat Company the other day. Super friendly and knowledgeable help. We got a few of our favorites such as the cow camp seasoned tri-tip, Cajon chicken wings, chili lime skirt steak. We were looking at the pork and decided to try the hula hula pork steak wow was it good. We will definitely be back great place

We got great meat, and they can cut anything for you. They offered all the regular meats, 50/50 bacon/beef burgers, and aligator, elk, venison, and other meats. They can also process meat brought in by hunters, etc. A real old-fashioned butcher shop.

I’ve been going to Roseville Meats for about three years, and for a long time, I really enjoyed their products. Unfortunately, over the past year, I’ve noticed a real decline in quality—especially with their bison, beef, veal, and fish. The meats just aren’t what they used to be. On top of that, their prices seem to have gone up while the meat has become noticeably more tough in a way that doesn’t feel like an improvement in quality. I’ve even had a couple of occasions where my stomach was upset after eating it, which had never been an issue before. I used to look forward to shopping here, but lately, it’s been disappointing. I hope they address these changes and get back to the quality they were once known for.
