Rosedale Farms & Vineyards is a family-friendly winery and farm that offers a variety of local products, including homemade baked goods, fresh fruits, and their own wines. The business focuses on providing a casual atmosphere for visitors to enjoy wine tastings, food, and events in a scenic outdoor setting. Additionally, they have a farm store that features local produce and other goods.
My friend and I were visiting from out of state for work and had some free time. This place was absolutely perfect for us. It had an amazing family atmosphere and was laid back but still top teir quality. We did a flight of wines ($20 each) and then tried the unfiltered apple cider (amazing!). The outdoor area was great with a good view of the small vineyard. Hopefully, they will bring some outdoor heaters as the weather changes. We also bought various home made baked goods (breads, cookies) and fruit. We took an Uber from the hotel and had no problems, the drive was beautiful.
Admittedly, I started off with this brewery on the wrong foot - when we first arrived here it turned out that the wine flights are poured only during the weekend. This was not immediately obvious based on their website. But when we got back on one weekend they made it up just by the quality of their wine. I'm not a wine lover, so I found it hard to enjoy wines at several other wineries before. But the wines here are distinct and have their own flavor profile. They had 13 wines during my visit and you can order a flight of 4. So I tried all 13. My absolute favorite was Summer Red (Sweet Red) because it was bursting with multiple layers of flavor. The second was Three Sisters (Dry White) just because of its unique combination of berries in the flavor. The place also serves food. We ordered their pizza and it was ok, although the wait for it was really long. The farm also has a store selling all kinds of things, including the ones produced in other places. There was always a line inside, so this farm is popular. There was also a concert going on during our visit. Overall, I will recommend this winery to anyone interested in good wines.
This was our first time here. It was for a private event at a huge tent in the back of the farm. Everything about our experience is 100% positive. We gad a fantastic time and would highly recommend this venue for other events.
Very nice selection of fruits, local baked goods, cheeses, ice cream and vegetables as well as their own wines. Can't wait to try their blueberry peach pie š. ā¦
Was met with rude workers immediately upon arrival. I guess they had vegetables laying out in front on display but werenāt done setting them up so they werenāt ready for people to view them yet. I was commanded to go around their display to the building instead of looking at the vegetable stand in the front. Iād suggest not opening your business until youāre ready for people to see it. Or at least put up a sign and treat people respectfully. I hadnāt even touched any of the vegetables. Honestly, Iād be fine with something not being ready. It was the worker who rudely told me to move. I was going to try their winery but was so put off by the rude workers that I left. Their website isnāt clear and up to date for their specific openings for their different activities. Very poorly run! First and last time visiting there!
Love the laid-back vibe at this winery!!! Itās super chill, dog-friendly (huge win), and has such a great mix of local provisionsāthink cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit and veggies, hummus, and other fun little finds. The perfect casual place to meet up with friends and enjoy the weather and some good wine.
The place is nice, but don't get sucked into the sunflower maze, 70% of the sunflowers are deceased. We lasted about 5 minutes and noticed many other people just coming right back out, total waste of money! Was turned off so left & didn't try the wine or anything else. I thought it was deceptive that there was still selling tickets for this.
Had our daughterās wedding at Rosedale Farms and Vineyard. They went above and beyond in attending to every small detail! Able to easily accommodate 175 guests. Max catering did the food and did not disappoint! Would highly recommend!šā¤ļø ā¦
Our second time at Rosedale Farm, we enjoyed Max Ole! Great food and drinks. A very large and festive crowd. Look forward to being there next year. The owner of the farm is very gracious and talkative.
Just happened to come across it as I was driving by. Produce looks beautiful and fresh. Bought a mixed berry pie. They make their own wines and hold events. Check them out if you get a chance, support local.
I have so many great feelings about this location. I have to put this up front, go to the store and get the hot and the dill pickles in the pre packaged containers in the fridge in the back. THESE ARE THE BEST PICKLES YOU WILL EVER HAVE IN ā¦
Canāt bring your own food. Most other wineries in CT you can bring your own food when you buy wine there. This one we could not nor could we bring our own soft drinks like water. We were asked to leave when they saw our cooler because we ā¦
We love Rosedale Farm. Owners are very friendly, innovative and thoughtful. We enjoy their local partnerships with other farms and small businesses to bring us the best local produce, ice cream and cheese. Our farm share is well ā¦
A great farmstand. Went in to find some local corn, but they had so much more. They have an in-house bakery and baked goods from other local businesses. The produce was great quality, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer.
Beautiful farm, they have a shop there with products like, wine, pie, cookies, ice cream etc.. and now for the season we decided to try a corn maze, it was super fun, we spent 20 min or more it was not to easy how I expected, and The ticket included water, Apple and dona. They are nice sun flowers when you finish the corn maze.
Omg!!!!!! So happy we decided to visit today! We had an amazing time. The Sunflowers are to die for!!!!! I mean, it was like a dream! So beautiful! We also, did the corn maze. Such a great time! It took some time to find our way out, but it ā¦
Good mix of local and "imported" fruits & veg. Selection of breads, cookies, pastries from CT bakeries. Check the coolers for local cheeses. Small discount when paying in cash.
Very good selection of wines, and a few bottled items from local distilleries. Outdoor seating where you can enjoy a bottle of wine with friends overlooking the vineyard.
Nice place to have a wine (bottle or can!) with a snack and watch live music. Has a good selection of fruits and veggie. Also some ice cream. A little bit expensive but the quality is good.
Love this farm. We were lucky enough to see beautiful sunflowers, have some wine and snacks, and buy some peaches to take home. Live music. Beautiful place.
