Can’t thank Greg and Carrie enough for letting us stay for the week and play on the farm!! You guys honestly made us feel like family. I can’t wait to bring the whole family out to the farm and have a big bonfire this fall!! If you’re going hiking in the mountains, this is where you’ll want to stay! The owners are such wonderful people. They make you feel beyond welcomed while also giving you space to feel free and comfortable. Again, thank you for the amazing experience!! My daughter is still raving about the goats and how cute Sassy was hunting butterflies. 🦋💞
This was my second time going to the horse pull at Red Hound Farms. It was only $5.00 which is a very affordable price and a beautiful day to enjoy time with my family. It’s a great place to take your kids, family, friends, spouse, partner etc. The staff was very friendly and the owner of Red Hound Farms took time to visit with us and asked how the experience was. For the lady that left the review about the two employees stopping cars on Frye Bridge Rd. Just be thankful that they were concerned about you and your family not being involved in a wreck that could have harmed or even killed you, your family or someone else. This world needs more people that care like they do. Take your family out to enjoy wholesome family fun and make memories that will last.
This place was adorable! For my first Christmas tree experience we could not have picked a better place. They’ve got a country store with great gifts/prices. There’s a creative kid park and we had some fun playing hoops like we were at an outside arcade. They’ve also got a barn where Santa comes to visit. The best part about the experience was how easy it was to wrap the tree & get it on top of the car. They did everything while we sipped hot chocolate 🥰🥂🎄 Also, don’t hesitate to buy a Red-Hound Farm T-shirt. Trust me. 🤍
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg from Red Hound Farms Friday night after being stuck on Frye Bridge Rd for 5 hrs during the recent snow. My car slid into a ditch where I couldn’t retrieve it by myself. The temperature dropped and I was left alone waiting for a tow that ultimately didn’t come. Greg was gracious enough to make sure I was ok and offered me a ride home. I will forever be thankful for his act of kindness. Again, thank you so much for the rescue and ride home.
My husband and I were looking for a local farm to support and host our son's 2nd Birthday Party at. After receiving multiple recommendations, I contacted Red Hound Farms and spoke with Keri who was super informative and personable. Our family and party guests had the best time on the farm! From the beautiful barn with horses coming right up at the back to the cow train for the littles to ride and all the baby animals they got to feed - amazing experience and would absolutely recommend hosting your next child's party or event with this team. Everyone we encountered at the farm was professional, kind and genuinely cared for the animals and all of our guests.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. These people have no idea what they’re doing. I booked a cabin here on HipCamp as a last minute place to stay while traveling. A few minutes later I received a text (to my personal phone number, not on the app) from the woman who was listed as the host, saying that they are locked out of their HipCamp account but they would “still love to host us”, and to call Greg for details. I called Greg and he was extremely rude from the start, complained about the hour, at which I was told to call. He asked when we were planning to be there (because the host himself somehow has no access to the account) and when I responded “tonight” his response was “No you’re not, it’s not ready and I’m not waiting an hour for you to arrive”, and proceeded with his nasty attitude until he inevitably hung up on me after I brought to his attention that that there was no indication on the ACTIVE listing that it would not work out. It is in no way shape or form my fault that the hosts have listed a cabin that’s not ready to be booked AND is actively available to book. The host is rude & apparently incompetent too, considering he not only blamed me for booking something that he has listed as “available”, but also refused to understand how it is his responsibility to at the very least, be able to manage his own business.
Had a great day today while they had their horse Pulls! Very beautiful horses! What a wonderful family oriented venue and very inexpensive to get in admission was only 5 bucks! The shop was cool with local vendors and products ( they have beautiful pottery pieces and local jams). They also sold hotdogs and hamburgers, although I didn't try them today. Cool relaxing place to be in the country for a day!
We went to take our toddlers to see Santa and they had the cutest activities prepared for them. The coffee was delish and the girls loved the cookies. The indoor decor was so cute and I've never met such a friendly group of people. Grace walked us around a bit to show us the animals and we felt so welcome. I look forward to going back when it's a little warmer out. There is also a small market on the weekend and the food vendors there were selling homemade tamales and sweets, it all smelled wonderful. We took a look inside the little shop and plan to go back and get some meats.
This is the third year we have come to Red Hound Farms for their fall activities and this was the best time we've had! The other times were great too, but this visit was so fun. Grace took us around to see and feed all the animals and we had such a great time meeting them all. She was out tour guide on the tractor ride around the property and she was knowledgeable, personable and super kind. We loved her "find the orange rocks" game too! She went above and beyond to make sure my 3 year old had a prize age appropriate for him when he found all the rocks. She also went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time! We come back every year and can't wait for next year!
Called ahead to make sure they were open. The man on the phone seemed annoyed that I had called. We arrived anyway and payed the admission fee only to find out none of the amenities they advertised were functioning. There were no animals in their pens and the only available thing was the tractor ride and the corn pit but the corn was wet and moldy.. sandboxes were also overgrown with weeds.. they offered the corn maze but the corn was literally 2 feet tall and with adults/teens we just turned down the offer. The worker on the tractor ride began making snarky remarks about how we wasted their time which was completely unnecessary. Last year it was decent but after today we won't be recommending this farm to anyone. We literally played in the moldy corn with our children, rode the tractor around a field and stopped by the pumpkin patch.
Disappointed… Went on 10/20/24 (Sunday). We had showed up on Saturday, but were encouraged to come back on Sunday so we would have time to do everything. The person running the check in table even suggested getting there right at 1, and we …
We had my sons 4th birthday party at the farm and it couldn’t have been better! The farm was fantastic with animals, corn pit with slide, and tractors! The barn is absolutely gorgeous and so clean! The best part was the owners/staff! They were so kind and genuine! Highly recommend and we look forward to going back again!

A beautiful farm with a lot of farm animals, you can purchase food to feed the animals too. The hayride is very fun that you will see the entire open field during the ride. There are a lot things to do with kids. The owner and everyone work there are very friendly as well. Would recommend.
