If you are in the market for local, passionately raised lamb meat, Rodney at Ram’n Acres is BY FAR THE TOP CHOICE! I have personally visited him at his farm, and his flock are some of the happiest, most comfortable, and well cared sheep I have ever seen. His passion and care is easily shown through the quality of meat that you can get at Ram’n Acres. I highly recommended Rodney at Ram’n Acres for any of your lamb or sheep needs!
Everyone NEEDS to try the meat from Ram N Acres, seriously, do it now. The care that Rodney (the owner) puts into raising his lambs is unmatched, in my opinion, and that shines through in the quality of the meat he offers. One of my great passions is cooking, and I decided to do a taste test comparison between the meat we got from Ram N Acres and the same cut of meat purchased from Aldi. In the first picture I have a size comparison, the Ram N Acres meat is on the top and the same cut of meat from Aldi is on the bottom. You can immediately see the difference. I also noticed that the meat from Aldi had a fishy smell and was slimy, even though I had just purchased it. And why is it imported from New Zealand when we have lambs here in the states? Ridiculous. The rest of the photos are my cooking process. I heated up my cast iron skillet on high heat, added some tallow, salted and peppered both sides of the chops, then seared them for a few minutes on each side. Then I removed them from the skillet to rest, let the skillet cool down for a bit, then added butter, freshly minced garlic, and fresh thyme and parsley. This was honestly some of the best meat I’ve ever eaten in my life. 10/10, just try it for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
We visited the farm last week. Our kids enjoyed watching the Sheep 🐑 The owner was very friendly and answered all our questions. …
Rodney at Ram’n acres always goes above and beyond. Super ethical farmer that always has the animals needs at the for front of every decision. I will always buy my lamb meat from rodney. One thing to note, I haven't ever gotten a “lamby” taste or a “wool” taste in any of the cuts of meat I buy from him. Keep up the good work. Customer for life.
We purchased a lamb from Rodney and had chops and ground burger. It was phenomenal. The chops are tender and burger was really good. We made it into meatballs and hamburgers it was awesome. I would highly recommend purchasing from Ram'n Acres!
Our lamb has been exceptional. It was harvested larger than expected, so had concern it would have the mutton stink. Scent & flavor are perfectly clean, so had the benefit of larger animal/more meat.
Great quality. We did the final cut and grind ourselves.
Great product and easy to work with. Can’t ask for more than that!
