This family! I can’t say enough about Darrel, Shana, Casey and Gracey. My kids bought their first show heifer from Pitchford Cattle when we knew absolutely nothing. They helped us build our herd on a very strong foundation. They’ve patiently answered every question I’ve ever thrown at them (even about cattle that weren’t theirs). They have mentored my kids to make them high quality showmen to match the high quality cattle at the other end of the halter. They stand by their cattle and by their word.
Pitchford Cattle has phenomenal genetics and even better people. I was fortunate to win a donated heifer from the Pitchford family at the 2016 NJSGS. They were so welcoming and had multiple heifers for me to select from. My heifer, aptly nicknamed ‘Finale’ for my last NJSGS, is the most docile heifer in my herd and has produced phenomenal calves. We have also purchased a bull from Pitchford Cattle, PC Rio of Yellowstone 942G1, whose genetics go back to multiple national champions. This bull has thrown phenomenal calves, one standing 9/36 as the youngest heifer in her class at the 2023 NJSGS.
