On a Sunday morning, I drove to Hammonton New Jersey to purchase baked goods from Penza’s Pies at the Red Barn. I was captivated by the decor of the dining area, village charm filled the rooms. I was tempted to sit down and have breakfast but I did not have enough cash with me. I entered the bakery shop to purchase blueberry muffins for a friend. The colorful pie display kept calling me, choose me instead of blueberry muffins. Next time, I will remember to keep more cash in my wallet. Vhuntermassage LLC
Great experience here with homemade pies baked fresh each morning, wonderful service, homemade goods, and a good rest stop off Rt 206. Apple Pie and Quiche are both delicious!
Old style country restaurant with a tremendously humble country flair. Food was delicious. Coffee was hot and fresh.
Consistently fabulous breakfasts - I never miss out on some blueberry pancakes especially when they're in season. The quiche is also fantastic. I always take the opportunity to sit outside and even though this place is right on 206, the road noise is never too much. The porch is a beautiful place to eat, so much personality. The service is also top notch - we were well looked after and our coffee cups were never empty.
New Jersey Farm fresh, old school charm! All the pies are extremely delicious. Love having them adorn our thanksgiving dessert table. The ricotta pumpkin pie a favorite, it’s luscious treat! Have enjoyed a good breakfast in a unique, warm and welcoming setting.
Penza's Pies at the red barn is like no other! The sit down country breakfast, the orange juice and the coffee is ALWAYS fresh! We've been coming here since I was a little girl and Evelyn welcomes us like family, every single time. Visit her today, and DON'T forget your pie! My personal fave is and always has been the five fruit!
Lovely placer for homemade pies, jams, breakfast and lunch! The staff is so friendly, feels like home! Warm and welcoming . Spinach feta omelet was phenomenal
Wow, what a gem! The pies are out of this world, so fresh with tons of fruit! Our lunch was wonderful. Smashed meatball open-face sandwich. (my husband and I shared that) with fresh cucumbers and a a fresh, tasty, cranberry, apple, orange chutney. The squash soup was also so lovely with a thick, mild spice texture. The store was decorated so nice but I wasn't sure if any of it was for sale or just decor.
On par with the food is the service, which is Excellent. Blueberry and ricotta pie was something I never experienced before and was DELICIOUS! Please indulge yourself with a pie fit for royalty!
Blueberry pie as absolutely amazing. So incredibly balanced. Not too sweet or tart. Ricotta pie was surprisingly fluffy, but filling. Absolutely worth the price. Love to support a small business that provides a quality, homemade product.
