Owens Meats

We have been coming here for several years. Our favorite is the “good stuff” which is cut up bite sized chunks of different meats and cheeses. A perfect snack!! It’s right across the street from Cle Elum Bakery!

This is an absolute must stop! The quality and ingredients here can not be beat. After all, no one beats their meats. So much more than just the carnivore. There are jams, jellies, bread, and mixes along the back wall! There is so much to see in such a small shop! Stop in and support the best small business.

I love stopping here whenever I'm in the area. It's great for picking up some cured meats for hiking or camping on the way to the trail. I highly recommend getting a scoop of The Good Stuff (or the spicy variation, if you're not a wimp) for the road. I also particularly love the classic or spicy pepperoni, the beef and chicken jerky, and the smoked fish. Good selection of other specialty goods and fresh butchered meats, though I haven't tried most of them personally.

Wonderful staff, so many wonderful suggestions. Willing to cut meats to the size you want! They have frozen and ready to cook meats. Many cheese options! I absolutely adore they're pickled eggs!

We stop here every time we drive from Seattle to Montana. It is so good! Amazing selection, and can you really go wrong with a place that has a vending machine full of jerky outside so you can still get your fix if they are closed?

I'd say the burger quality tasted as though it was prepped that day. The jerky was decent, but lacked a little punch in flavor/seemed bland. For that same reason, that to me made the sausages and pepperoni taste great. They weren't overly spiced like you might find a normal pepperoni stick or even the spicy cheese stuffed sausage. The meat and cheese "trail mix" is always an easy go to. It's packed in here and they were attentive. They even offered up a hot braut on a bun. I like this location better than their other. The rubs and sauces make for nearly an easy one stop shopping spot, but I haven't tried those sauces and can't recommend them. I will always come back here when in town.

Owens isn’t just a meat shop, it’s a meat experience. Every single time I walk in, the employees are on point—super professional, friendly, and actually engaged with what they do. You can tell they take pride in their work, and it shows in every cut. The meat? Out. Of. This. World. Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had. Juicy, flavorful, and always top quality. Whether you’re grilling, smoking, or just snacking on their famous sticks—nothing compares. This place sets the bar high. 10/10, every damn time. If you know, you know.

Be careful with the Owen’s Meats vending machine as it scammed me out of $25. Two weeks ago I was charged $25.50 after the machine did not release my product. I called the the store the following day and was told the charge would fall off my account since the machine has a scanner which detects items that didn’t actually dispense. After the charge stayed on my bank account, I called again and was told to email them for reimbursement. I was also told that my card was charged 25.50 because that’s the price of the most expensive item in the machine. 11 days passed by since I emailed them and no one responded to my email. Not only did the vending machine scam me out of my money, the manager does not respond in a timely or effective manner. I’m very disappointed with my experience and hope it’s an isolated incident.

I love Owens meats! Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful and always goes the extra mile. Taylor in particular helped me tremendously in ordering and shipping me a new hat over the phone (they have excellent merch). Thank you Taylor and thank you Owens meats! You can’t beat their meat !

If you try nothing else just grab some smoked pork chops. We've always gotten great quality meat from Owens. Their team is friendly and efficient. Even when they are super busy you get what you need quickly!
