Overhome Meat Processing did a fantastic job with our steer! Their team was professional, skilled, and made the entire process seamless. The steaks were perfectly cut, the ground beef was top-quality, and the sausages were packed with flavor. We were impressed with the care they took in handling and packaging everything—it made storage super easy. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and we’re grateful for their expertise. If you want top-tier meat processing, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back for future processing needs.

We brought in two pigs for processing, and Overhome Meat Processing did an outstanding job. The pork came out beautifully, with well-cut chops, flavorful sausage, and the best bacon we’ve ever had. Everything was packed neatly and handled with great attention to detail. Their expertise really shows in the quality of the final product. If you need reliable meat processing, look no further. Highly recommended.

Overhome Processing has been our go-to processor for our chickens for a few years now. We love how knowledgeable, professional, and responsive they are. When we are working with them, we always know what’s happening with our animals and our meat. All the animals they have processed for us come back perfect, well-packaged, and taste great when it comes time for us to eat them. We’ve also taken one of their chicken processing classes and found Erik and Shannon to be a wealth of knowledge on proper animal processing procedures, from start to finish. We know that they have deeply studied sustainable and healthy methods to create healthy meat through conscientious and responsible processing, and we are so glad they are in the community! We plan to acquire some beef cows within the next year, and will definitely be bringing our cattle to them for processing when the time comes. We would heartily recommend Overhome Processing to everyone in East Tennessee, and beyond!

We had a great experience with OverHome Meat Processing. There was great communication. This was our first time processing and they were extremely helpful and reassuring. Our meat was clean and neatly packaged. And, we were able to pick up our meat quickly and flexible to our schedule. We will be returning this year and for future years to come. Thank you for providing this wonderful resource to our community.

Over all great experience, the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating for our special requests. Owner was kind and answered all my questions, even helped load my boxes of meat into my truck. Meat cuts were good, brisket fat layer was way too thin but overall fair price and great experience.

Had 3 animals processed there the last couple weeks. My customers have been happy, zero complaints. Pricing is extra fair. Out of four full size halves, only 3 packages required another layer of vac seal, but each had bone and that's prone to happen once frozen if it bumps around... so no harm no foul there as it could have happened after it was in my possession. My favorite part is the owner, Erik. He's a super nice fellow and seems brutally honest. I really like the labeling system they have for keeping stuff separated. Super simple. Ground looked appropriately ground with the correct amount of fat. I will be using them again.

I am very sad to have to write this review. We purchased a steer from a very reputable farmer in our home town. Unfortunately he uses Overhome as a processor. Our Steer was 880 lbs. live weight. Out of that we brought home only 9 NY strip steaks, 12 rib eyes without the spinalis (the best part of the steak) a hand full of roasts, picania with no fat cap, a few bones, and two packs of fat. The rest was ground beef. I spoke with them before they fabricated the animal and gave very specific instructions. They clearly didn’t listen. There’s no doubt in my mind I only got 1/2 the animal. For a $3000.00 investment, I got a few steaks and a freezer full of ground beef, I feel totally cheated. I called them and the farmer. I have gotten no reply from Overhome. I will never deal with these people again. I strongly suggest you stay away from these people. Update; two days after contacting them still no reply. They clearly don’t care. 2nd update: 4 days after contacting them, still no call back. Final update. These people are either completely incompetent or they’re crooks, maybe both, and of course they cashed my check. The cuts in the photo are what they labeled as picania (aka sirloin cap). Notice 0 fat cap. Either they have no idea what it should be, or they don’t care. By their lack of response, probably both.

We have had meat processed here for the last three years. The employees are so friendly, they follow our cut-sheets exactly how we fill them out. Overhome Meat Processing goes above and beyond our expectations! I highly recommend them!!!

They helped us out in a jam. Prices are right and meat was packaged excellent and available when promised. Both the Breakfast sausage and the Mild sausage is amazing good. They also have other services not offered by other Butchers. Check em out. I'll be back thanks...Hawk

Excellent service and communication! I was nervous and skeptical at first but once we picked up, we were very satisfied with everything we received. Don’t believe these reviews. All cuts requested were received. Can’t wait to bring another whole cow to fill our freezer!

I just picked up my 8 boxes of processed pig this morning and I'm extremely disappointed. I've never experienced this poor level of quality from any processor in the past, even game processors. Here are my issues.... - the sausage packages are dirty and greasy with little flecks of sausage grindings stuck in the flaps of the packages. - there are spice pockets, unground pork, bloody areas, and unincorporated fat throughout the sausage. Looks like the fat and pork were only ground once and mixed, then packaged. - I have at least four packages that are not sealed. One hock, two bellies and a roast. I have to re- vacuum pack them. - the meat was not trimmed properly. There are giant bands of fat on pork chops and roasts. The bellies were sectioned but not trimmed - pork chops were supposed to be two in a pack.... Randomly packed. - I received two entire boxes of pork fat that I told you I did not want. I only wanted the leaf lard. I found the leaf lard all in one big pack, but I have two other giant packs of fat with "leaf lard" penciled on them which is not possible. Then an additional whole box of fat. - there are glands and hair follicles left in the packages. - some of the orange stickers are hand annotated and illegible. Unprofessional! I paid 700.00 for the hog and 302.10 for you to process it. So now I'll have to trim everything and possibly further grind the sausage everytime I thaw it out. Plus repackaging a few things. The honorable thing to do would be to rip up my check. - what about the improper packaging of the chops? - what about the glands left in the package? - I made some of the hot sausage already. There is way too much fat and the spice is over powering. It was not mixed properly. I know because I make my own. It has pockets of spice unmixed in with the meat and fat. - what about the misidentification of the extra "leaf lard" that's incorrect and the handwritten illegible writing on some of the packages? - my jowls were sliced into tiny slices and packed in Styrofoam, how can I cure the jowls for bacon now that you sliced them? I asked for them to be packed whole - the pork bellies are all different shapes that require further trimming. I specifically asked you to trim them up just like I specifically told you I only wanted the leaf lard. - what about the dirty packaging? Sometimes it's better to admit your errors and apologize rather than justify poor performance. I would have respected that. So I hope you feel that you have vindicated yourself in charging me for the processing you performed. You are a substandard outfit and needless to say I will never use your services again and will discourage others to use your services. Your explanation to my issues are just excuses. I've sent pictures to other folks and they can't believe it. You have pretty much ruined the hog I purchased and I'm not ok with that. I don't know who you have working on your processing team but I could probably make an educated guess. Thank you, Perry Mills USAF Retired

Very satisfied with the entire process and product. Throughout the entire process the team communicated with me, ensured I received the high quality possible, and were very skilled and knowledgeable. I would recommend and use again.

Highly recommend!! I’ve purchased beef from them multiple times and it’s always been perfect! Steaks with good marbling, not too much or too little fat in the ground beef. I’ve always been impressed with their pricing, and their customer service is phenomenal! For as long as I’m here in TN I will continue to buy from them. Not to mention their new way of packaging the ground beef is so convenient! Thanks, Overhome Processing for all your hard work and dedication! You all continue to improve and that’s why we trust you!!

had my hog processed at Overhome Meat Processing and appreciated their efforts in providing special cut requests. Pleased with my order. Clean! Courteous! I’ll be using them from now on!

I have processed 13 steers with Overhome processing this year and still have 5 more scheduled before Christmas. I have been SUPER pleased as have been my customers, many of the last few I have done are repeat buyers. They are very attentive to their customers needs. Their facility is clean, and they are super to deal with. Will continue my relationship with them due to their care of my business and my customers. We are partners, not customer and processor, which is exactly what I asked of them when I took my first steers for processing when they opened! Keep up the good work! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Eric was extremely professional and helpful. He got me in right away when I called him. Since there are comments about being shorted meat, I can share mine. According to his weights, I brought in 872 pounds of sheep live weight. The hanging weight was about 430 pounds ( about right). My package and boxed weight was 268 pounds. Not bad with the amount of bone and grass fed sheep. I will be a returning customer and will be recommending Overhome. When you call for prices they were not the cheapest. Good work is not cheap. Thank you Overhome!!

Picked up my order and headed straight to the grill- best dang steaks I’ve ever had - Thank you Over Home Meats for going above and beyond to accommodate me over the weekend - everything was perfect!

Google

We have bought 1/2 cow several times and have always been very pleased. The meat is the best quality we have ever had. Very tender steaks and roasts and the hamburger is amazing quality. They are very easy to work with and do a great job!

Google

We have purchased beef twice and the value is incredible almost as the quality of the meat!! Store bought beef does not come close to the taste and quality from the product we reecived from Overhome Processing. The company is great to work with. We will definitely be buying more from them again!
