OrgaNick Pastures is a farm that focuses on regenerative agriculture, primarily offering pasture-raised eggs. The business emphasizes the humane treatment of hens, allowing them to engage in natural behaviors while producing eggs that are marketed as high quality. Customer reviews reflect a mix of satisfaction and disappointment regarding the eggs' quality and packaging.
Found these at my local store and made a delicious yellow cake with fudge frosting! I always support regenerative farming and pasture raised birds. The color of the yolks didn’t change how delicious they were and I will absolutely buy again!
I wish I could say that these eggs are great, but they’re smaller than other ‘Large’ eggs, have thin shells, and the yolks are pale. I’ve tried a number of egg brands, and these just don’t taste good. Maybe it’s the bugs & worms in their diet, lol. Sorry, but it’s a No for me.
I usually buy Nellie's but they were sold out, so when I saw OrgaNick Pastures, I was happy to support another 'humane certified' company and bought 3 cartons- all 3 had very pale yellow yolks, as if I had bought the cheap eggs that came from hens not given proper nutrition. Very disappointing.
This company deserves a far higher rating. No idea what’s going on here, but these are 5 star eggs, fresh, true pasture raised with care. Our main choice if we are getting them somewhere besides our own farm.
Love these eggs! High quality - great taste, thick shells, orange yolks, and consistently large size. We go out of our way to stock up on these when our hens aren’t laying. Won’t go back to any other brands. Edit as of 5/18/25 Updating from a 5 star review down to a 2. Egg cartons were switched to plastic within the last few months and we’ve consistently been getting anywhere from 3-6 cracked eggs PER CARTON. I will no longer be buying these if they are going to be sold in plastic. Also, my most recent carton had some unknown black substance sprayed on the inside of the carton and it got on the eggs. Ink? Grease? Something else? Absolutely no idea. It also did not have a Best Buy date printed anywhere on it. As a farmer myself, food quality and safety are important to me and I’m not happy about the recent changes.
Definitely something going on with these pale yolks. My local egg lady was sold out who truly has organic pasture raised eggs. I tried these and was truly disappointed. I can say it doesn't seem like the verbage on the egg carton could possibly be true.
Basic research would tell you Pasteur raised eggs don’t have to be Orange. Many factors determine egg color. These eggs are from Wisconsin which is cold. Yolk color is determined by carotenoid consumption by hens. There are more carotenoids in nature in warmer climates. Eggs have much more nutrition than carotenoids. If this farm is certified pasture raised the quality of the eggs is good. You can always pay more money for Vital Farms. I am sticking to OrgaNick Pasteurs.
These are some of the only eggs we buy when we aren’t getting them right off of our family farm. Delicious, and truly pasture raised. Everything we are looking for to feed our family.
We've been buying these eggs for several months. We love them. I read some of the reviews. Eggs vary in color based on the breed of hen. Different breeds of hens naturally produce yolks of varying shades, regardless of their diet. Many people associate darker yolks with higher quality, but this isn’t always accurate. Light yolks can still come from healthy, well-fed hens and be just as nutritious. Their hens are given ample access to pasture, allowing them to graze, roam, and engage in natural behaviors. This farm prioritizes the quality of life for their chickens, ensuring they are raised in a stress-free and healthy environment = healthy eggs.
This company has to be misleading people with the Regenerative Agriculture label? The egg yolks are very pale colored, the eggs have no taste! Regenerative agriculture eggs should be rich dark orange yolks. Very disappointed.
