My family ordered a Father's Day gift package for me. It included jumbo gourmet franks, caramel apple tartlets, brisket burgers, steak burgers, boneless chicken breast, boneless pork chops, filet bc, top sirloin bc, steakhouse fries, smash burgers Omaha Steaks seasoning. I grilled all the meat for 4th of July and I was pleasantly pleased with the way everything came out. The size of the boneless chicken breast and porks chops were alitte underwhelming, but they made up for with flavor.
I ordered four sirloin steaks and four NY strip steaks, for a total of 4.25 pounds of beef. The total charge to me, without tax, was $199.98. All are noted in the order as "butcher's cut". The amount charged comes to an astonishing $47.62 per pound. Outrageous! I grilled one sirloin and one strip so far, and it tastes like nothing more than mediocre "choice" beef, at best. Nothing special to warrant that cost. And adding insult, I know I can purchase better quality, fresh steaks at the grocery store for $10.00 and $14.00 per pound. Their designation "butchers cut" is meaningless, since this tastes like "choice" at best. And they have the audacity to note on my order that I saved $230.00. LOL! What a joke. Buyer beware. You can buy "PRIME" beef for less than half what Omaha is charging for their "butchers cut". Prime, Choice, Select. Never again. Never.
I'm disappointed with Omaha Steak's online ordering process. First of all, there's an expiration date within the cart. When a customer orders it's mandatory that they spend a minimum of $69.00 without taxes, shipping, or other fees! When I was ready to Check Out they had a side note to add additional items at an additional cost; they blocked me from ordering my items that totaled $44.00. I called their Call Center & the woman told me that's the way it is & left me hanging without a satisfactory answer. I stated that the leadership team is in charge of setting these obstacles to make a profit. Their marketing tactics leave alot to be desired! I stated that I choose how I spend my money & the amount in question. I wasn't able to get through the corporate office. I'm going to contact other steak places that don't impose all these restrictions.
I was surprised to read so many one star reviews. I have been an Omaha Steaks customer for many years and never had an issue come up. Quality is very good and I consider the prices to be fair. I always look for a package deal that includes free stuff, like burgers. Delivery by UPS is always on schedule. My two cents.
I noticed someone posted Omaha food workers was very grumpy.I talked to one today 12/12/24 3:47 pm and ask her questions about the dry ice & she was very sweet & helpful, I give her 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. When ordering my food the young lady was very sweet & helpful & I also give that young lady five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Our food arrived on time,I paid $2.99 to arrive on a certain day, the dry ice was gone but the food was still frozen & I can't wait to try the breaded patties they looked nice size and really good . I ordered steaks,chicken breast ,hambugers,fish,franks,steak frys,small individual deserts.All the food looked good.I haven't tried it,but my two sister's has been ordering from this company for years and they both loved it. Am on vacation overseas and attempted to place an order for my son in Maryland for his birthday. The website will not let me even look at what is available. I do not want it delivered here but to a US address! I have ordered several times before so I am an established customer. Called customer service (at my expense from SE Asia) and they would take my order but without access to the website, I have no idea what to order! Unless they change their website I will not order again!
I will never order Omaha Steaks again. Ordered 3 times, not sure which location my orders came from. Apparently, there are different levels/grade of steak from here. I ordered the moderately priced ones, figured middle of the road should be good. No. The steaks were tough, the chicken was as big as an egg. The sides and dessert were very good. The hot dogs were as well. The last time I ordered, I ordered the more expensive ones, same thing. I'd rather spend the same amount of money and just go to dinner. Hyde Park is a great place for a great steak.
Placed several orders as I normally do this time of year. 1 having sent to me and checked the box Christmas delivery. A notation came up and said would ship 10-17 days before Christmas. I received my confirmation and delivery date said 12/2. I emailed asking date to be changed to 12/10 since I would be on vacation 12/1-12/9. A reply came back that said we will change for $9.99. I had just spent over $670 on orders. I said cancel. Sad a company this large needs my $10. After all, I wasn't asking for the 24th! Throughout the year, I've spent more than $1100. Kansas City Steak, you've got my business now.
Very unhappy 3 times, 1 hour on hold. 10mins or more I guess, never, I had loved there stuff before but now I'm disgruntled I think I'm gonna get scammed with a s&h thing I'm watching closely with my bank. It's an arm and your 1st born to thru that's sad I thought they were reputable, now aways nothing sacred I'm a senior on fixed income, bummer, be carefull
Extremely unhappy with customer service. We had two items left out of our order. We called to have the missing items shipped, since we paid for them, and were told it was too expensive to ship them to us. We were given a $25 gift card. However, you must meet the $79 requirement to order from them. So it will cost us another $54 to get the original items, we have already paid for. Will never order from here again. I order a lot online, and have never had a company not stand behind their shipping and products like this.
The ad in my Facebook feed said 50% off for extended cyber Monday sale, plus shipping and 8 free burgers. I purchased a large package deal of meat as well as several sides. I did not receive 8 free burgers. I contacted customer service and after several emails with different people stringing me along, absolutely nothing was resolved. This was my first, last, and only order. 😡
Ordered steaks with a promised delivery date, when that promised delivery date arrived and I checked online I found the order was just processing. Contacted them and she confirmed I was told that delivery date. So she said she'd waive shipping. Shipping disappeared and then reappeared days later when yet again my order didn't arrive as promised. Had to go through all kinds of b.s. to get them to refund. Then they never did the refund as promised and had to contact them yet another time. Horrible company/Horrible customer service and reliability
My clients and customers have always picked up the phone and called to thank me when their box from Omaha steaks arrives. That's when you know it is impressive -- they telephone, not email! I appreciate the flavor of every product I've ever had from OS.
Omaha Steaks offered a 50% off deal with free shipping. One of the products offered is out of stock, and they will not offer the deal if the product returns to stock after the expiration of the deal. I called to ask if they would offer a sort of rain check to honor the deal when the steak returns to stock, They said flat out no. This is nothing short of a bait and switch scandal!
Ordered 5 of the same packages for my employees and Omaha Steaks held the packages from being shipped. Their reason for not shipping was that they thought that I may have made a mistake when I made my order. I also ordered packages for some customers that were sent as planned. My combined order was over $2,000.
Wow, what a disappointment! I’ve never had such a tough piece of filet in my life…especially at these prices. I’d say that me and my family are done with Omaha Steaks! They seem to have lost their way. The prices are still high but the quality isn’t any more! As they say, fool me once!
VERY VERY disappointed in Omaha Steaks. Have three out of town children and decided to send each of them a gift box to one child's address as they were all meeting there. Was told I could not order three of the same to one address. So ordered two of one and one of another. When they arrived, they were in two boxes and all mixed together and did not get what was supposed to be in one of the orders. Took a lot away from the gift giving at Christmas. Will never order from Omaha Steaks again.
Great customer service! Called with issues on orders from Christmas season and a very sweet woman Kelly answered and helped us. Thank you again. You have earned the good reputation I will let everyone know how great Omaha is and absolutely reorder for years to come.
Poor quality and even worse customer service. I've called, sent emails and even sent a letter by tracked USPS to the "Office of the President. Crickets...no response.....don't waste your money. You can get the same or better quality at Kroger for far less.
Food quality mediocre, but VERY disappointed in customer service I received in response to an order issue. Be VERY careful and read FULL descriptions of their skillet meals and crock pot meals. They changed names on them 2-3 times each (on the 5 I ordered). Very confusing and I still don't feel as if I got what I wanted, but NO ONE offered to make it right or expressed sincere concern on issues. It's very worrisome to only receive standard complaint responses - means they get so many complaints that they aren't taken seriously. Sad.
