If you like a sweet BBQ sauce, their own homemade BBQ sauce is one of the absolute best. I use it on my ribs all the time. I use any rub with a lot of spicey heat, its aalways a fantastic combination. We come back year after year just for the sauce but purchase everything else thay have too because everything is great!
11/08/24: 1st time here. Very friendly and helpful staff. These owners make their own items and are maybe in their 70s. Super fun husband and wife that I chatted with for a half hour after my purchase. They normally close at 5pm so I called and asked if they could keep the door open until 5:05pm as I was driving 175 miles to get to their store. I purchased several items for a meat tasting I am doing for employees from many meat markets across Minnesota. They had me sample everything I was interested in. This is super smart of them because I purchased everything I tried. One item that was super tasty was their beef jerky strips. Our hunting party ate those up fast. I will be stopping back many times. I've been to a few meat markets where staff are rude or acting like the customers are an inconvenience, and I won't go back there ever again. So, keep up the great work Northwood's! I will update this review after our taste testing.
Walking in reminded me of going into the butcher shop with my grandpa when I was a kid. The meat display, the great smell of the place, the friendly man behind the counter. Great variety. Reasonably priced. If you are ever driving through Remer, definitely stop in and grab something.

Old school butcher shop! This place will take you back. We purchased a variety of beef sticks and brats. Awesome is an understatement!

I love their bacon smoked chicken breast and turkey tenders are excellent also and the fresh steaks are the best always friendly and great service
