Being able to buy locally raised meat from a family that is not only super nice but also takes great care of the animals is such a privilege that I am very grateful for. And their pork chops make amazing Schnitzel! Shop online, stop by their farm, meat them at the Watertown Saturday Farmers Market or look for their meat in local shops!
We went to the Northrop farm to buy some meat. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us by showing us some of their farm. We bought steaks and grilled them: these were among the best we ever ate!! Outstanding meat quality that is definitely worth a trip to the farm! It is also conveniently located north of Watertown.
I randomly stopped by this wonderful, wholesome, and holistic farm today (19NOV21) with my son. He wanted to see a barn today and we tried the zoo but the zoo was closed. . I however, wanted some fresh cuts of beef from the farm- not the market. So I was thinking “two birds one stone”. When we pulled up we were greeted with smiles, freezers full of fresh product, and although we were all strangers- didn’t really feel that way. After a little small talk they even gave my son and I a tour of their barns and treated us like family. The cuts of beef and ham I walked away with were just a bonus. The real treat is meeting the people who run this farm and knowing that the backbone of America runs through our town! Thank you NORTHROP Farms. From my family to yours! Cheers
