Let me just say this straight: if you’re buying meat anywhere else, you’re wasting your time. Nicks meat depot in Edison is hands down the best spot around. The owner really knows his stuff — Every cut I’ve ever picked up from there has been next-level. Fresh, full of flavor, and always perfect no matter how I cook it. Perfect example is, try skirt steak from anywhere then try it from nicks. You will be mind blown. Thank me later

Nick’s Meat Depot is hands down the best butcher shop around! The quality of the meat is unmatched — everything I’ve purchased has been fresh, flavorful, and expertly cut. You can tell they take real pride in their craft. The customer service is top-notch too — friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you pick the perfect cut. Whether you’re grilling, smoking, or cooking at home, this place is a must-visit. I won’t buy my meat anywhere else!

Love this place, expensive, but you get what you're paying for here, so know it's going to cost you. They offer deals and specials sometimes, so you can get good deals. Meat is always quality and fresh. Spent like $75 for 3 short ribs and used the smoker. The family loves it! I mention price not to dissuade you, but to prepare you from thinking it's not worth it, small local butcher, not walmart meats. it's worth it. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, so don't be afraid to ask questions. If you don't know exactly what you're looking at or want, they will take the time to explain it to you.

I have never gotten a bad piece of meat from Nick's and we've been fans since when he was first on Route 1. Service is great and selection is too. Tried some different burgers and now I'm hooked on the Badda Bing and the Chicken Asiago burgers! But honestly, it's the steaks. Life is too short to bother with less than Prime meats.

Butchers who break down whole animals in-house – try the dry-aged ribeye caps. They’ll custom-cut any thickness and explain cooking techniques while they work. Their house-made sausages (the maple breakfast links!) sell out by 10am on weekends. The quality makes the slightly higher prices worth it.

Nicks Meat Depot is a class A butcher shop with a twist. Awesome cuts of meat and a great selection of Italian food items. The staff are very helpful wether you’re buying 1/2 a pound of ground beef or huge steaks. It’s very hard these days to go into a grocery store and get all the different cuts of meats a butcher like Nicks can offer. Check them out!!! I recommend the tomahawk steaks! and the bone for your dog!!

Have been looking for a local butcher for quality meats for awhile. Have tried stuff locally and been left disappointed everytime. Nicks kept popping up and I have been putting it off since it's hr drive. Was up north for some work and stopped by today. Place is exactly what I was looking for. Has everything and more. Been coming here for months. The place is super clean. The meat cuts and quality is unmatched. Bonus for the customer service and loyalty program. These guys know their stuff and make great recommendations. If you have a date or a party go see them.
