Nature’s Harvest Meat Co. LLC is a business focused on processing game meat, particularly deer and pigs, for customers. They offer services related to meat processing and taxidermy, catering to hunters who require their game to be butchered and prepared. The business appears to have mixed reviews regarding the quality and quantity of meat returned to customers.
I had dropped off the biggest buck in my life time. I had high hopes as this was a place for processing and taxidermy! I was suprised to see my mount was done in about 2 months when it normally takes 4-6. I was horrified to see the mount was wrong! On top of that the taxidermy looks completely horrible when compared to my other mounts. I would in no way recommend natures harvest for your taxidermy. Very dissapointed.
Do not bring your animals here. Dropped off 10 pigs last week, picked up a disappointing haul today. Claiming “not enough belly to get any”, missing jowels, same story from them, I have butchered dozens of pigs of all sizes here and never had a problem finding either of those cuts, I also get a much higher percent of the weight…these are kunes, yes, smaller, some were small even for kunes, but still, I don’t understand why I wasn’t called, and asked what I wanted to do with it. I told them I wanted whole animal processing including trotters, today they say they aren’t licensed for that. They also told me I could sell the meat, today they tell me only if it’s cut in half or quartered. They also conveniently “forgot to weigh them” The most expensive cuts, just don’t exist from these 10 pigs. I’ve weighed it and i just paid 4$ a lb.
Owner Is really nice an accommodating Very friendly staff Had everything I wanted and the prices were reasonable Would go back again!!
If i could leave a zero star review i would. I dropped off a 180 lb doe that was shot in the head so no wasted meat should have happened and got 18 lbs of meat back. Barely even half a box if that. I would not take any type of animal here if you want to get your meat back and then the price i had to pay to get taken like that is ridiculous. TERRIBLE PLACE!!
Dropped a 130lb 4.5year old field dressed buck off shot with a bow low heart shot. Very little if any waste. I got 19lbs ground and 2 backstraps. 24lbs of meat. Either I was giving someone's else's deer or it got skimmed off the top. 35 to 40% from hanging weight is standard even at 30% with the added beef fat in the ground i should have had 40lbs of meat. Not happy gave them 3 deer this year every deer came back skimmed paid for all 3 and will not use them again. Side note there jerky isn't that great the Cajun meat sticks are good. What meat was giving was packed well, and people are friendly. Just not getting what you dropped off.
Todd and his crew were great! Set me up with some choice cuts, once I explained what I wanted. Deal with confidence.
Very friendly but I bought over $100 worth of meat and brought it home cooked It ate it and it tastes gamy. I bought meat from there because I thought it would be better than buying meat in the store. I thought maybe it was just me that it taste weird to, so I let my whole family eat some and everyone said it tasted gamy. I have checked around with a lot of people that sell cows and customers that buy cows. I was informed that it is not supposed to taste gamy. I did call this location and was told that the gamy taste is normal but everyone else says it’s not so for that I will not be buying here again, and I’m even afraid to go buy food from somewhere else, and it tastes gamy, but I am looking to buy meat from a farmer for someone that doesn’t have gamy meat
I love going to place to get my deer process and sometimes I get jerky made. My first deer I brought them to get jerky made I got four and half bags full of jerky . I love it. So I decided to get another deer made and it was a lot bigger deer this time. I only got two bags. Something is not adding up. I don't understand why I got less jerky but more hamburger meat. I understand whatever meat they can't jerky they hamburger up. But I shouldn't be getting more hamburger then jerky. So Todd the manager told me the work varies sometimes. I bring these people about ten deer a year to process. Maybe it's time to look somewhere else to get it done
Locally raised meat, butchered on premises. I get most of my meat from this place.
2 deer dropped off that weighed between 140-150 each field dressed, got back just over 40lbs of meat… both deer shot with a bow not hitting the shoulders soooo where’s the rest of the meat? Selling it at the end of the year? DO NOT TAKE YOUR DEER HERE!!!
I love going to buy venison there. Good quality, good cuts, always pleasant
Processed on site. Very fresh!
Excellent processing service. Fast too. Mine was a 1 week turn around during the busiest time of the season. Good prices and friendly people.
I tried to be supportive of this place since it has new owners but NO more!!! With the price increase and the little amount of meat you get back you are paying 4-5 dollars per pound!!! I took two deer there and between the two I got what I should have gotten with one!! I will never use them again!!!
140 pound deer only rendering 26 pounds of meat… I am livid. I have MS and depend on Deer meat as my main source of protein for my health and now half of my meat is gone. I guess the only way to ensure I get what I work hard for is to do it myself. Nothing but crooks.
A friend shared some ground beef and chorizo sausage from here. I combined them together for my meal and the meat was so delicious. I doubt I’ll ever buy sausage and ground beef from anywhere else again.
Brought in a 75lb doe to get hamburger out of it for tacos and spaghetti. When I went to pick it up I only got back 13 packets of ground deer and was charged $105, something isn’t adding up lol.
On 21 Nov 2021, I took a 200pound 10 point buck in for processing. I got roughly 40 pounds of meat back from that deer. Basic workup, gut & cape cost me $125. Something went terribly wrong with my order. I won't be using them again...for anything...ever.
I dropped off a full sized doe and hardly got any meat. Very disappointed.
Nice folks, good price, happy with what I bought. Cool European deer head mounts from Andy Nimmons Taxidermy on the wall.
