Mountain Stream Meat Co.

I have really enjoyed our meat from Mountain Stream. Caleb was able and willing to answer all my questions. The farm (where we picked up) was beautiful and the shop people were friendly. I was nervous ordering from and sending a deposit to them since I learned about them on Facebook but took a chance and I’m glad I did! Reasonably priced and the beef is amazing! We will definitely order from them again soon!

We had an emergency situation and they gladly helped us without question. They communicated so well through the whole process and were so easy to work with. When we picked up our meat the location was clean and organized and the staff was friendly and helped load. I can’t recommend them enough!

We thought we had an issue with our order, and it turned out it was a husband/wife miscommunication. Go figure. Mountain Stream's team was patient and kind with us, going out of their way to help us work through what we thought was wrong. We'll be back, consistently.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Very disappointed with the office staff. She didn’t want to write me up for 2” steaks. So we got none. Also I didn’t get ribs as promised. The butcher showed me the card for cutting and it only said 3# roasts and 1# burger. And bones. Otherwise the card was empty. She argued with me from my first call. The farmer called too, to try and get them to make my cuts as asked. The lady at the front office for the butcher just did what she wanted. Not what the customer wanted. Then she also said” I like my meat to moooo, and I only do 11/4 “. Then she refused to give us a Saturday appointment. We had an hour travel time. I called her back, she was rude, told me she had customers and hung up on me. It was very disappointing.

The service at the shop is top notch and we were super happy with the cuts. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of communication. I was ghosted multiple times when leaving a message or texting. Was never called when the meat was ready. I was told I'd get a call the next week about our pepperoni being done, but that never happened. I texted once, emailed once, and tried calling, but nada. Waited until the next week and tried calling again and finally got an answer. Maybe the actual shop needs a phone line so they can handle the customer service end? I don't know, but it was frustrating to not get a response and be left wondering what's going on.

Butchered a hog that I bought from a friend. Communication was excellent and they patiently walked me through the cut ordering process over the phone. Nicely packaged and labeled cuts at a reasonable cost and time frame. A bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive!

We had a unique situation and they went out of their way to help us out. Great quality, clean operation, and hamburger is in bags (which I prefer). 10/10 would recommend
