We did the 2-hour tour and it was a blast! Great date idea for couples! Rich was an incredibly hospitable and friendly host and we learned so much about ostriches! He showed us around and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We felt that the tour was super fun and definitely worth the price! The farm is on a beautiful property, well maintained and safe. The ostriches are pretty awesome, and I really loved the beautiful mare that they have as well - she was so sweet and friendly! We were able to purchase some taco meat and an egg from the farm as well. Can’t wait to come back here for the ostrich steaks! Overall, this was a very cool and different date idea, and we can’t wait to come back for another tour with some friends! Thank you so much for the experience!

We came here for their Easter event, and it was pretty cool. It's definitely a very unique experience. My son loved seeing the ostriches and had fun collecting the eggs. My husband and I had fun doing the adult egg hunt for an ostrich egg. We're excited to try the steaks we bought. Their ostrich tacos were good, so I'm sure the steaks will be even better. They also have bones for your dogs, and ours loved her treat! All the staff there were kind and nice to talk to.

We were invited to the ranch in March and had a BLAST. They have the world's friendliest cow, an neat petting zoo full of friendly goats, and of course... more ostriches than I've ever seen in my entire life. Some mind-blowing facts we learned: - Eating ostrich eggs is completely legal and super healthy (tons of protein) - Ostrich meat is RED meat, and tastes closer to filet mignon than to turkey/chicken. - Ostrich leather is the second highest quality leather on earth, far better than cow leather. (Of course I asked "what's the best?" "Alligator hide") - Ostrich oil has been used for lotions and cosmetics longer than olive oil has. Cleopatra herself preferred it. If you are a home school family (like ours), interested in locally source animal products, or just want to have a great time outdoors learning about exotic animals, I cannot recommend highly enough that you book a tour at this place. We are only 3 months into 2023 but I'm pretty sure this will go down as the best thing I did all year. :) Thanks Ryan/Richard!

Visited for overnight stay in our RV. Our host, Ryan, and his spouse practice sustainable ranching of ostriches. We had a tour of the bird pens, checking out a breeding pair and also a batch of meat birds. Fun to let them peck at your fist. Really interesting to learn about the ranch and their plans for expanding the operation. Ryan had a bird hide to show us, and we were able to buy some meat. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Misty Morning Ranch was an absolute magical experience for me and my family. They took our reservation last minute. It completely made our week! The staff was extremely kind, accommodating and they really took the time to teach us about their ranch. We took 5 kids and they were so helpful and patient with us. I’ll definitely be going back. We also brought home ostrich steaks!

We're members of Harvest Host which happens to be my favorite way to spend a short period of time in many places. Toured the farm, bought some Ostrich steaks yum! Loved our time there.

Ryan welcomed our school group of children with enthusiasm. The tour was informative and a lot of fun. All ages enjoyed learning and interacting with Ryan and the ostrich. The meat is also very delicious and similar to a very tender steak.

Misty Morning Ranch is a beautiful farm with delightful owners. The farm sits on 60 acres with multiple pens of ostriches and other animals. The Olufs are mindful about kindness to the animals and the sustainability of their farm. They offer multiple products: ostrich meat, jerkey, eggs, egg shells... Nothing is wasted!
