Not my best experience at a butcher. Pig was pretty poorly cut and not packaged very well. Shop itself also seemed a little dirty. I hate to say it, but I would honestly give it one star, but I know the guy was a one man show and way overworked so I will give him some grace this time around. Tried him one other time on a lamb and similar results unfortunately…

Great prices! Quality food! We already grilled our trip tip and steak. We were way too excited to finally have grilling weather. All we got was only $80!

Lost all organs even when told to keep them, cut ALL steaks 1" instead of 1 1/4". Whole beef. No good excuse and they tried several.

Had a quarter of beef processed, they did a great job, good customer service and quick turnaround. They really helped us through the whole process and their jerky is awesome! Will go back again!

We have had two cows butchered here and have had very consistent results both times. They're all very nice and extremely helpful - I had no idea what to ask for when they butchered the first cow, but they spent plenty of time talking about my options, their preferences, differences between cows, etc. I plan on continuing to use them in the future!

We ordered a full pork from Midwestern Meat Locker about 2 months ago and I am so please with the meat and the packaging. I am also very greatful they convinced me to take the pork fat to add to our deer meat. We added it to our deer meat this fall and I have never enjoyed deer but thanks to this tip our deer meat has been almost as good as beef. Thank you!

Above and beyond customer service ! Ryan Dennis was extremely helpful and went out of his way to assure I would get the cuts I was looking for. Being from Germany , he looked up what I mean by "Schnitzel-Fleisch" and he made every effort to make these cuts for me. Everything was packaged most carefully and done in a very speedy manner. Additionally the pricing was very reasonable and this was all around a great experience. I recommend Midwestern (Tri-County) Meat Locker whole heartedly and I will be a repeat customer !!!

I ordered a whole pig and wanted the jowls. They didn’t include them even though I asked multiple times for them. They raised the price of processing without telling me and charged almost $5 a pound for the processed pig. A rip off, you can get better quality meat in the grocery store for much less. Not impressed with the quality of the pork, the price or the customer service.

We got half a cow processed through them. We have had meat processed through other butchers and they set a new bar for the quality we expect. Everything was packaged to the highest of quality and was cut exactly to our specifications.

Do an amazing job. Hoping they get certified so I can resell the beef they process. I'm very impressed with the beef I got processed there.

Ryan is great to work with well organized and helpful and a consistent product I have several buffalo done here a year

This butcher has the best quality meat that I have tried in SD, so if your in Newell SD stop by he also has awesome jerky and custom sausages

It is closed, it failed the health inspection. More than once. They can still butcher for private use.
