Our family favorite place to shop and support. They always remember we come in for meat sticks for our dogs. And remembered the passing of our best boy Bob. The true customer service and community they create is amazing. Their product is always great! We love stocking up on their strip and ribeye loins to fill the freezer.

If I could write a no star review I would. Horrible business every last ounce of MEAT IS BROUGHT UP FROM DETROIT. Petty, bad cuts, Lyal is a joke and that lying mistake of a women is something else. Born n raised in petoskey y’all need to treat your locals better…

This meat was so succulent that every other cut of meat I have ever tasted is akin to the taste of ashes. Every night I dream about the unbelievably low priced meat I bought at meat monkey. When I wake up I cry tears of sorrow because those dreams are over, but then I cry tears of laughter because I realize I can just drive over to meat monkey and bask in its gloriousness. Every single cut of meat from this store is so well priced. The costumer service is impeccable. These employees seem to have been trained by an entity that is not know yet to man. They are golden tongued with their eloquent speech and every word is a gift from the heavens. The mints at the check out counter are the best mints I have ever imbibed in my many moons of life. The keurig cups of splendor taste so good that I immediately threw my Walmart k cups down the garbage disposal. The chips of wonder that are sold at this fine establishment have the perfect balance of crunchiness, saltiness, sweetness, and delightfulness. The cookies are so unbelievably good that when I tasted them for the first time I thought I had died and gone to heaven. They are soft but yet sweet in the most beautiful way. The frosting on these cookies of the gods is a thick layer of amazing fluffiness that makes you forget that we live in such a scary world. Every time someone mentions the name of meat monkey I immediately jump in my car and start speeding as fast as possible to get back to my favorite place on earth. I cannot sleep at night without meat sticks nearby for a midnight snack. The bacon at meat monkey is sliced with love greater than any love I have ever experienced. Every birthday my wife makes me a meat cake with meat from meat monkey of course. I open my presents but my wife no longer wraps them because we all know the cuts of meat that would be hiding beneath the meat-themed wrapping paper. The ribs at meat monkey fall off the bone on the most spectacular way. If there was a rib from meat money lying in the middle of a busy freeway, I would risk it all to save that rib, even if there was only one morsel of juicy flavor left on the bone. The steak at meat monkey is perfect for every occasion. I eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I even started to make up different meals of the day just to cram more meat monkey down the gullet. Not to say that meat monkey isn’t filling in the best way. It definitely is. I have to work out a lot to offset the calories I would normally gain from this lifestyle. I have never been more healthy in my life. I used to suffer from many different ailments. I never knew what from. I now am on a carnivore diet and every health problem I had is gone. This is all thanks to meat monkey. I used to live in Minnesota. I was taking a drive up to northern Michigan to see my extended family, and I happened to drive past the monkey. I stopped in the parking lot to get a bite to eat. When I tasted their inexpensive meat sticks, my dopamine levels exploded out of my body. I have never been so happy. I now live nearby just so I can buy my meaty goods at meat monkey. Thank you meat monkey. You have changed my life.

Friendly staff, awesome deals on meat! Try their fresh polish sausage and the Cajun bacon, always a hit in our house!

A local, family owned and operated butcher shop serving locals at prices that can't be beat! And they're not just a stellar butcher shop. They fully support the local community and put in the work to help out where they can. There's no place else I would go to buy meat.

A family run small business, the kind of which is getting harder and harder to find. Lyle, Lois and Steven are just fantastic people. They are so pleasant to work with and just down to earth wonderful people. I was greeted with a smile and had great conversation while at the store. I left with an armload of goodies (psst.. the brisket dip is awesome!). Thanks guys! I’ll be back soon!
