This is a lovely farm. It’s very much a small operation and the sheep were baaing and the chickens were clucking happily. The day we went was hot and we really wanted to pick some blueberries and did not want to drive somewhere too far from Boston. Giving the farm 3 stars, because it is overpriced. Buying a quart of blueberries for $25 and then needed to spend an additional $50 (for 2 jams and a carton of eggs) is quite steep. Lauren is lovely, and it’s an experience—but likely wouldn’t come again due to the price.
Quaint farm where you get to pick your own vegetables. Don’t forget to carry your own bag. The farm store is towards the back, there is a small sign that reads farm store and then there are doors to farm store and washroom (basement of the house) You must go through the doors or call the number on google maps. Lauren was wonderful, very passionate about the farm and fresh produce.
We visited this lovely farm back in March to bottle feed some lambs. What a treat! Farmer Lauren met us in the parking lot (down a longggg dirt driveway and left past the barn) and introduced us to the cows and sheep. We learned a lot and she's clearly most knowledgeable. They sell all kinds of high quality food items. Can't wait to go back! (Ps. Although we were given ample warning about dressing for the occasion I had no idea how... "barn-y" I'd smell after.)
I agree with other comments about it being overpriced. These 2 things together were $45, lemon for scale. FYI the price on the website is wrong. They also asked you to get equivalent products from the store after blueberry picking but a strawberry jam for $20-25? They say because they don’t charge admission, but most farms don’t charge admission…
Charming. Lauren is a loving person. We need more farms like this they care about the well-being of those who visit them.
I took my granddaughters there and I really feel that we have found a true gem of a place. Lauren is so kind and attentive and the girls absolutely loved the experience. She taught the girls about the chickens and the cows Bubbles and Milkshake . We picked strawberries which were delicious and also purchased amazing products at the farm store. Thank you Lauren for sharing your incredible farm with us!
Legendary produce and meat. This farm has never had any sprays, or chemicals and is worked by the most wonderful couple. You must try their own chicken, eggs, strawberries and honey.
Amazing place!! We stumbled upon this farm and were instantly greeted by Lauren who helped us pick our own chard, carrots, and beets. It was so fun to get truly fresh veggies! We met some other shoppers there who told us we had to try the eggs and garlic too. Lauren shared some cooking ideas and gave us a great recipe for beet hummus (photo). Everything I’ve made from what I picked / bought has been INCREDIBLE. Can’t wait to go back; highly recommended!
What a charming place. We went there and bottle fed newborn lambs. We also weighed the lambs and fed the mama sheep. We were able to walk the property and see the different offerings provided. We met the cows. Owners are really nice and really care about the animals and their work on the farm. The goodie bag provided at the end of the experience was just the icing on the cake. I strongly recommend everyone sign up for the meadow mist farm experience!
Feels wonderful to buy high quality produce that hasn't been sprayed or treated with any chemicals. Even the chickens eat the best quality food money can buy. I also love buying their flower, elderflower syrup and bee pollen. Lauren is very knowledgeable and kind and is passionate about promoting healthy eating and reducing food waste.
