Maplebrook Farmstead

Wonderful goat hike with three families and friends together. Hannah was flexible, informative, kind and fun! Created a great memory, strengthened friendships and calmed busy minds! The scenery is beautiful… just wear rain boots as it’s a real farm and one of the best parts was walking into the chicken coop!

Hannah and 8 of her goats led 5 of my friends and me on a fun, informative goat hike through woods and meadow on her Maplebrook Farm in Sterling. We thoroughly enjoyed being out on a beautiful day with Hannah and her herd. We saw chickens drinking from a clever water dispenser Hannah built and Ayrshire cows new to the farm and donkeys. At the end of the hike members of our group bought a book on goats, eggs and gorgeous flower bouquets (grown by Hannah’s mother) at the farm store. I highly recommend this excursion. My friends - local and visiting from out of state - had so much fun learning about Hannah’s farm routine and her animals.

This quaint farm offer the best farm fresh foods, stunning flower arrangements picked from the fields, and not to mention all joy the farm animals bring. If you haven't been lucky enough to secure a hike with the goats yet, it is a Must Do. Each of these animals have a personality of there own and you will be talking about them for years to come. Not to mention, Hannah is a great guide!

It’s really hard to express the feeling of my swelling heart when I think of this place. We were lucky enough to secure a spot for a goat hike with Farmer Hannah a few weeks ago. We had a terrific time communing with the goats; delicious milk and sun-orange-yolk eggs were a bonus to an otherwise perfect day. Hannah and Maplebrook Farmstead are on our family’s map - for nourishing food, terrific conversation and scenery that rivals any other.

We’ve enjoyed many goat hikes at Maplebrook farm. Hannah is a fantastic host as she walks you around the farm and through the woods. The land is beautiful and her family is doing a wonderful job restoring this farm. We love the bees and chickens too!

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful place, and Farmer Hannah couldn’t possibly be any sweeter! We brought a big group of babies, kids and adults on a lovely goat hike. After a long and strange school year. It was the perfect way to connect with the land and the animals and to both learn about and enjoy the nature and the farms around us. We are all looking forward to going back and can’t wait to see our favorite goats again!

We had an unforgettable experience hiking with Hannah and her goats in December! This was a great gift from our mom that allowed us to experience all that Maplebrook Farmstead has to offer. I HIGHLY recommend this experience for friends and family or even as a team bonding activity!

Maplebrook Farm is top notch! The Millers work hard to bring fresh eggs, Summer flowers, and raw milk to Sterling and our neighboring towns. Goats provide family fun goat walks which we have done twice with more to schedule in the Fall. Hannah, keep up the great work!

Our family went for a goat hike with Hannah back in April. Our group ranged in ages from 8 to 65. Everyone had a great time. Hannah was so patient (kids had a lot of questions!) and informative. We will definitely be back. (We also bought eggs & shirts at the farm stand.)

You MUST schedule a goat hike! If you are like us and love to hike and also Love animals this hike is For you and your family! Hannah is Such a wonderful guide and her goats are amazing. They are the sweetest and will bring you smiles for days! The property itself is gorgeous and Hannah is super personable and knowledgeable. The hike is slow paced and perfect for all levels of Adventure seekers. I would give 10 stars if I could!!
